Economic Strike

Dead Drop · Dead Drop

We’ve been tricked into thinking power looks like a march. That it sounds like a chant. That it bleeds into the streets with protest signs and tear gas and hashtags that trend for 12 hours then rot in digital landfills. We’ve confused spectacle for impact. But here’s a bitter pill: the machine does not care if you’re outraged. It only cares if you stop feeding it.

ICE isn’t going to blink because you scream. The Trump administration isn’t going to break a sweat because you made a sign. The cold-blooded mechanics of modern fascism are immune to feelings. What they fear - what makes the billionaires and AI priests tremble - is not your resistance. It’s your withdrawal.

No Messiah Is Coming. Stop Waiting.

You’re waiting for a Democratic Jesus, a Mandela in loafers, a perfectly eloquent Harvard savior to guide you out of the darkness. Stop. Real change doesn’t ride in on a motorcade. It leaks in from the cracks made by people - angry, clear-eyed, unbought people - who don’t ask permission to disrupt.

You want a real “movement”? Start by canceling your streaming subscription.

The Math of Collapse

$27 trillion is the size of the U.S. economy. Seventy percent of that is consumer-driven. That’s you. That’s your debit card. That’s your monthly indulgence in dopamine-in-a-box called Amazon Prime.

Each day, the machine needs $74 billion in economic participation just to keep humming. Choke that pipeline, even slightly, and you will hear it sputter.

A coordinated pause - not a strike, not a riot, not a press release. Just a nationwide economic shrug. A week without spending. A month without new phones. Ten percent of you cancel your OpenAI account. Five percent of working-class households hold off on non-essentials. The markets will hemorrhage faster than any Senator can tweet out a condemnation.

No drama. Just drag.

Non-Participation Is the New Protest

Capitalism doesn’t break when you shout at it. It breaks when you ghost it. The system isn’t designed for disengagement. Its entire survival depends on your constant, twitchy, Pavlovian involvement - swipe, tap, spend, upgrade.

That’s where the anarchist power lives now. In the dead signal. In the pause. In the refusal.

Withdraw your attention. Withdraw your money. Withdraw your consent. It’s not cinematic. It won’t win you hearts on Instagram. But it will work.

You want to stop ICE? Want to paralyze the authoritarian overreach? Then stop showing up - for them.

You Don’t Need Permission to Vanish

The statute of limitations on murder is never. So let’s start the clock. Let’s make lists. Let’s name names. Let’s remind these badge-wearing agents of terror that there’s no amnesty for cruelty. But let’s also remember the enemy doesn’t fear your decency. They fear your power to subtract yourself from their economy.

Stop pretending GDP is just a boring acronym for suits. It’s the only language this regime understands. And if you want to speak fluently, you’ve got to stop paying for your own oppression.

Buy nothing. Upgrade nothing. Stream nothing. Whisper it to your neighbors. Post it once. Then vanish.

Let the earnings calls tremble.
