This week I’m headed to Sodus for a couple of research visits. I’ll be riding the Rose Lummis on Sodus Bay and touring Alasa Farms, two experiences I’ve been eager to learn more about. The heart of Watkins Glen is a 1.5-mile-long gorge where stone pathways weave past waterfalls, bridges, and sculpted rock formations before emerging into the village. Pair the gorge with lakeside dining, nearby wineries, or a drive around Seneca Lake for a memorable summer day trip.

The final days of the nine-day Jazz Fest bring hundreds of performances to downtown Rochester, ranging from free outdoor concerts to intimate club shows. Even if you’re not a jazz fan, the festival atmosphere alone is worth experiencing.
