Plans For 2026

This is just a short note letting you know what I have planned for my Substacks in the coming year.

Here at Made From What’s Not Real, I am planning on getting into serializing the long-form fiction I wrote and published before I came here. (That includes the book I am holding in the photo, by the way.) I have wanted to introduce the major series character I developed from the old days to you, and, as the “origin story” I wrote for her is a novella rather than a traditional short story, it would be hard to fit in a single newsletter piece. So I decided it would have to be serialized.

Then I remembered I also had other long-form pieces you haven’t seen yet unless you are of the miniscule number of people who have not yet published or read them in book form, and so…

Concurrently, I will be repeating some of the earlier published stories I have here for the benefit of the newer subscribers. And also periodically making new things.

At the other Substack, FOCUS!:

I’m hoping to begin a long-planned series of profiles of female characters from television animation who occupy my thoughts (not like that!), along with hopefully more general reviews and overviews. The details of the character project will be revealed to subscribers of FOCUS! soon, so you should subscribe to it if you want to read it.

So this is fair warning about what is coming. And if you enjoy it, I would be glad to direct you to the original book sources for possible purchase and online review, which I, as all authors do, require to have a stronger online presence than I do now.
