Since this weekly compilation is all about absurdities in the political world, we simply must focus today on the annual meeting of the DNC which was held in the communist enclave of Austin, Texas over the weekend.
Why do that, you ask?
Welp, because nothing says absurdity more fiercely and spectacularly than the DNC tradition of starting every meeting not with a safety briefing, or an invocation, or maybe even the Pledge of Allegiance or with the approval of the previous meeting’s minutes, but with a lengthy and utterly ridiculous land acknowledgement delivered in monotonous, somber tones by a person who claims to be a descendant of one of the sometimes mythical tribes who may or may not have ever existed in the locale in question.
