Kathie’s coup de grâce at its forever home — observe the refracted light on the frame!
ヽ(⚈‿⚈ )ノ This post is made by a human for humans.
Because a.i. writing is like swapping out audio books and calling yourself a novelist.
Hello all you fine folks, due to an unexpected shart storm crashing over my breakwater, this post is a bit chaotic and shorter than usual.
Maybe you can make it make sense? For instance I don’t understand all the hoohah over that latest movie idiOdyssey. It’s all Greek to me — Для меня это по-гречески
┐(´•_•`)┌
Ted and Brenda installed the window, a guided tour and even gooder pictures coming soon!
Of course Kathie is ecstatic seeing this. Thank you Ted and Brenda, we really are thrilled that you sent these pictures!
Check out the refracted light on the inside frame, I can’t stop smiling whenever I see it. Click on any image to enlarge.
We hope this will lead to more projects such as this. Any image you want can be created as well as things she can make freestyle.
I made this custom cable frame for Lynne Harrelson by running cable through 1/2” copper pipe inserted into redwood blocks. The redwood came as a massive 8’ X 3” X 11” plank delivered by Christi, who only asked for a couple frames in return. Bless you Dearest Christi!
◝(^⌣^)◜
Since Lynne intends to hang them outdoors, I took extra measures to help the wood endure. I buffed several coats of Danish oil onto the surface and Lexel® injected into the grooves before inserting the glass. Redwood has excellent anti-rot properties!
I had more pictures from the shop and the special jig I made specifically to cut the deep insertion grooves, but they are either misfiled or I deleted them — CHAOS! — Thankfully Lynne was awesome enough to send these, she has my most sincere gratitude!
I also made another stack of 12X12’s for Kory:
Several years ago I had some short walnut and maple pieces that were too nice to discard, so I devised a way to get all the pieces to align and form a strong bond and the results were rather cool! Of course I failed to take any pictures of the process.
— ARGH! —
And I made two of them!
٩◔̯◔۶ — #@%&!
Fortunately I remember how I made them. If you or anybody you know would be interested in a custom frame such as this or any other style, now would be a great time to give me a shout. I’ve had to scale back on some external projects, but small custom works are still available. Hit me up in the comments or send a DM.
I didn’t have time to verify the artists, this was a class at The Manor a couple weeks ago. Anyone who would like to be recognized, please reach out!
[Important note] This post is too long for some email clients, to be whisked away to the full article, please click on the title.
A couple weeks ago my personal ‘check engine’ light came on. The gauges started going haywire and I began to run a bit rough. Whenever this happens it usually means that I’m about to be subjected to some rather undignified inspections, injections, and intrusions of the type we soon long to forget.
Well, sure enough one of those concealed yet vital organs I’ve never given much thought to must have been feeling underappreciated and decided to bring itself to my attention like a satanic pop-up ad, but only more insistent. The problem wouldn’t go away no matter how much I tried to ignore it until about a week ago when I came to a stop like a stick in the spokes.
I kind of knew something was amiss. Over the past couple years every day was like trying to drive with the handbrake on, but I kept thinking tiredness and lack of energy was my being lazy. It turns out extreme fatigue is one of the symptoms. Glad I’m not a complete bum!

So, on top of all the other fun I’ve been wrangling with, here comes another stoooopid problem that will most likely require a bit of “intervention” — which is a cozy word for slow-motion stabbery.
I should know by tomorrow if these brofessionals need to open the hood and seize the dissenting part. If they do, I have trust in the competent hands of these allopathic gladiators and that wonderful mighty morphine power ranger who’s sole job is to put me on the boundary of a Celestial Discharge. Of course we’ll have the obligatory machine that goes ‘Ping,’ and my unshakable belief that the majestic entity which brought me into the cosmos will deliver me to see a new day.
I say all this so you know that if I feel as icky as a crusty napkin during my recuperation, I may adjourn from here for a spell. Accordingly, if things go well I may have the time to write more about things that I’ve put under an iceberg, such as past projects that few have seen. This would also be the ideal time for all you artists out there to share your work so I can proudly display it here.
Until next we meet, please keep on creating and sharing your work as when I am settled in, I would really like to have some interesting art to share. So, with much gratitude and respect to all you who read my work, I’ll be seeing you.
