When federal prosecutors hit back with a legal response so devastating that you have to ask the judge for a two-week timeout, you know things in the courtroom aren’t going according to plan.

The Tate brothers were scheduled for their detention hearing, but their defense team scrambled for a postponement after prosecutors filed a blistering response packed with new factual allegations. Prosecutors didn’t just rehash standard flight-risk arguments—they brought receipts, completely dismantling claims about unfair jail conditions and proving why two wealthy, dual-citizen defendants with multiple passports aren’t getting out on bond.
