The current era of heavyweight stars is petering out with the most significant names all just about at the end of the line.

Lineal champion Oleksandr Usyk (39) says he will fight once more with former titleholder Deontay Wilder (40) his most likely foe. And former champions Tyson Fury (37) and Anthony Joshua (36) are due to finally fight near the end of the year in a long-awaited showdown that will have come well past their best days and when it would have been for division supremacy.

Australian knockout machine Teremoana Teremoana, while still untested as a pro, has so far looked the part of somebody who could potentially follow in their footsteps.

Teremoana headlines for the first time when he squares off with DeAndre Savage in a 10-rounder that tops a Matchroom Boxing card on Wednesday (DAZN, 5 a.m. ET) at Star Casino Gold Coast in Broadbeach, Australia.

Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, the career-long promoter of Joshua, is bullish on Teremoana, who he signed after the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he bowed out with a decision loss in the quarterfinals to Bakhodir Jalolov, who went on to win his second super heavyweight gold medal.
