I really liked those Backrooms and the atmosphere and eeriness of it all; and the found footage, too. That is the first two thirds. Then the movie shifts and it’s like a new storyline in a TV series; where you’d also need another episode to resolve this. Hm…

A lovely film about the relationships between parents and their kids, and some of the different ways this can go. It’s really not happening much. But I don’t know; Jarmusch always entertains me. And having three movies in one is fantastic: you can just spot all those little details and similarities among them without “having” to watch another one of his films. 🎬 Basic Instinct
I sure have watched this back in the day. But I couldn’t remember much. And I certainly did not see the uncut version. Anyhow, this was suspenseful and sexy and psycho with a great story. Reminded me quite a bit of Hitchcock. And it has just the right amount humour. Loved all the car chases. And Sharon Stone’s character and acting is just perfect. 👍 Recommended!
🎬 Mission: Impossible
So, I finally got to see that famous vault scene where Tom Cruise hovers over the ground. And that scene was indeed very cool. But overall, I found this to be a little boring. Maybe because I found the premise to be quite low-stakes, especially in relation to how many people of their internal force are sacrificed. And the end action sequence is ridiculous.

The sets, the clothes, the makeup, the props - it’s all a little goofy and overdone. And I think this fits the film perfectly. Because it’s not taking itself too seriously. It’s a great Akschn Fuim and simply entertaining from start to finish in all its 80s glory. No shit! 👍 Recommended!

This was fantastic. It has a great crew with its space-movie typical in-fights and betrayal, stunning imagery, gripping action; and absolutely fucking golden space suits. I wish I could watch this in a cinema at some point again. 👍 Recommended!

This review may contain spoilers. Tap or click to view. That was actually pretty funny. But where did all the "zombies" go at the end??? I think this had more potential, especially the ending. But I also wish they had more utilised "Ivan and the Terribles". Nonetheless, this was worth a watch.

This review may contain spoilers. Tap or click to view. Was actually quite well done with not much (effectively just one on-camera actor). But I found the plot too constructed and a little incoherent, which made it less spooky than it could’ve been.

This review may contain spoilers. Tap or click to view. What a bloody annoying bitch! I found this quite entertaining, although it was a little slow to start and it’s really trying hart to be shocking. And I actually found this slightly more funny than terrifying. But it’s a good mix. And the acting was really good! Loved the ending, which is like the reverse of Romeo and Juliet or something.

They showed this at the local cinema, the Atelier. I always enjoy a good studio documentation - especially one of such an interesting band and one that's as well done as this one. And I'm very glad no one fell off that roof, WTF!? 👍 Recommended!
🎬 Burn After Reading
I wanted a Coen movie, I got a Coen movie. Absolutely hilarious. And another fantastic cast. They were all a delight to watch, but I probably liked John Malkovich's performance the most. Also loved the idea with the CIA guy reporting those summaries of what had happened. Clever and funny. 👍 Recommended!

Have rewatched this after a looong while. And the first time not dubbed. Still so so good and so funny. Every scene is perfect. The cast and their performances, the dialogue… One of my favourite movies of all time. 👍 Recommended!

Makes sense. In fact, FeedCity only uses the images and/or icons specified directly with the feed. Eventually I should probably fetch the icons from the website as a fallback. But c’mon: just include the icons directly in the feeds, please. In NetNewsWire 7.0.5 we made a change to get the feed image from RSS via the image element.
