Whoa, wait a minute.

I thought you liked posting regularly here on Substack? I hear you cry. Well, I do, but I’ve decided to go back to my roots… fiction writing.

Fiction writing? You ask… I didn’t know you were a writer!

Yes, I was a fiction writer before I wrote on Substack. And I want to go back to my original writing goals: pre-lockdown, pre-Substack, pre-Blog.

So what are my up-to-date writing goals?

By December 2027, I want to…

• Finish my first crime novella - not sure which format.

• Finish writing the script for my original musical Play.

My Crime Novella:

I plan to set up a weekly writing routine; I will spend a few days a week writing my novella. Hopefully, I will be writing up to two chapters a month; that’s if I’m being ambitious, but on target.

The book has been started and stopped many times, but this time I am aiming to start from scratch a brand new version (over 5 years after my first attempt), and create an original fictional universe, based on real locations.

The fictional area my novellas are based in is called “Pentrewood”.

What’s the first novella’s running title? “The Dark Man”.

My Original Musical Script:

I want to write when the moment takes me back to the script. No deadline, no routine, but I am going to make sure it is finished by the end of 2027.

I aim to do this in one year. I am to write the full script and lyric book. The Music and choreography can come at a later date. I’m aiming to release my full finished musical play to a local theatre or fringe, hopefully by 2030.

I am going to keep the running title quiet for now, as it is still early days.
