From Grand Opening to Grand Closing to Grand Re-Opening!?

OK, everyone! I have an announcement! Ting-ting-ting!

Howdy, all! I won’t beat around the proverbial bush, but I’m moving from Substack to Ghost for a variety of reasons. While Substack is fun, and I get that many people are on it, I’m not in love with the platform (or some of the things that have happened here).

So I’m launching a new blogging site and newsletter on Ghost called ANTISOCIAL, powered by the O.G. “Black Snob,” yours truly. It’s the same content as this blog, but so much more! ANTISOCIAL is a wellness, lifestyle, and culture blog for people who are trying to strike that balance between living out loud and protecting their mental health. Written by yours truly, it’ll cover all my favorite things — food, fashion, culture, history, lifestyle, and wellness — with some of the usual media and social criticism you’ve come to expect from me.

If you’re already a subscriber, there’s nothing you need to do! Everything has already been transferred over, so you’ll still receive my newsletter.

But why the name ANTISOCIAL? Well, it’s not about sociopathy! It’s the anecdote for our always online lives by bringing it back to our homes, our passions, and our IRL relationships. And you may feel “antisocial” sometimes, avoiding people and the places where they congregate, but that’s OK. Even I, a hardcore extrovert, go through these moments. But ANTISOCIAL is all about finding that balance between getting the social interaction you need, having the personal time you crave, and making both meaningful.

ANTISOCIAL will have all the posh, snarky silliness of the old-school Black Snob, with wellness, lifestyle, and cultural content carefully curated by your favorite journalist and pseudo-socialite.

I’m also relaunching my professional website: daniellebelton.com, your home for when you want to know what I’m up to career-wise! Like that memoir I’ve been working on since forever!
