Now that Jupiter is finally in Leo (!!!) and after exploring how Venus attracts people into your brand, I want to turn to another one of my favorite placements to analyze when working with business owners, the planet of abundance and expansion: Jupiter.

Jupiter is often referred to as the luckiest planet. It’s the planet people hope will bring them success, bigger opportunities, and financial growth. And while all of that can absolutely be true, I’ve always thought Jupiter’s real magic lies somewhere else. Because before Jupiter expands anything, it first asks: what is worth expanding?

In traditional astrology, Jupiter represents growth, wisdom, opportunity, generosity, and the things that naturally flourish over time. It magnifies whatever it touches, helping it reach more people, travel farther, and create a bigger impact.

Within my branding framework, Jupiter represents your brand’s greatest strengths. It’s the answer to one of the most important questions every business owner eventually has to answer:

Why should someone choose you over someone else?

Not because you’re the only person offering what you do. But because you’re the only person offering it the way you do. Almost every industry is crowded now. There are thousands of designers, photographers, therapists, coaches, astrologers, coffee companies, skincare brands, and bookstores.

Jupiter helps us uncover the thing that makes people remember yours.

It can be anything from your expertise, your story, the experience you create. Sometimes it’s the philosophy behind your work. But more often than not, it’s a combination of all of those things. It’s low key your unfair advantage.

One thing that’s also worth noting is that Jupiter becomes especially important if you’re a Sagittarius or Pisces Rising, have a Sagittarius or Pisces Midheaven, or have Jupiter closely connected to either of those angles.

Because Jupiter rules both Sagittarius and Pisces, its condition in your birth chart tells us an enormous amount about how your personal brand naturally grows, how people experience you, and where your greatest opportunities for expansion may lie.

(Emma I love youuuu)

One of my favorite examples of applying Jupiter in branding is Chamberlain Coffee.

Coffee is hardly a unique product. There are thousands of coffee brands competing for attention. So why did this one become so recognizable?

Because the product was never the only thing people were buying. People were buying Emma Chamberlain’s relationship with coffee. And with her natal Jupiter in Gemini (in the 10th house!) communication and following her own curiosity was always meant to be a part of her career.

Coffee had already become part of her identity long before the company existed. Her audience watched her make coffee every morning, travel with coffee, joke about coffee, talk about coffee, and genuinely build rituals around it. When Chamberlain Coffee launched, it felt like a natural extension of who she already was.

Then the brand expanded beyond that foundation. Its commitment to organic sourcing and sustainability appealed to a generation that values conscious consumption. Its playful packaging (I mean hello?) reflected Emma’s personality instead of copying traditional luxury coffee brands. And now we’re here talking about it as a case study.

Branding with your Jupiter changes the focus from what you sell and instead poses a more interesting question: “What makes your version impossible to replicate?”

One of the biggest mistakes I see business owners make is assuming their differentiator has to be this crazy revolutionary thing. And it very veryyy rarely is.

Often, it’s something they’ve become so accustomed to that they don’t even recognize it as valuable anymore. It can be something as simple as:

  • How personalized your process is

  • Your background before starting this business

  • Your ability to explain complicated ideas simply

  • The hyper niche and loving community you’ve built

  • Your visual taste

  • Your sense of humor

Your strengths aren’t meant to be taken for granted, they should be something you lead with.

Questions for reflection:

  • Why do your clients tell their friends about working with you?

  • What do people compliment you on again and again?

  • What strengths have become so natural that you’ve stopped noticing them?

  • What parts of your process could nobody else replicate because they’re uniquely yours?

  • Beyond the product itself, what experience are people really buying?

  • If someone had to describe your brand in one sentence, what would you hope they’d say?

One of my favorite ideas in branding is that differentiation isn’t about becoming more different and doing outlandish things for attention. It’s about becoming more yourself.

When businesses struggle to stand out, the instinct is often to reinvent everything, but more often than not, the answer isn’t creating something completely new. It’s shining a brighter light on what’s already there. Your Jupiter placement doesn’t ask you to manufacture uniqueness, it only asks you to recognize it.

And when you begin intentionally building your messaging, visuals, client experience, and offers around those strengths, growth becomes much more sustainable. Not because you’re pretending to be someone else but because you’re expanding what has always been true.

Here’s how each Jupiter placement sign-by-sign naturally creates growth, builds a reputation, and becomes memorable in business:
