The Brief: Dress Like Your Venus Sign

Daniela Marti · The Lunaria Letter

After covering Saturn, Mercury, and the very important angles, I thought it would be fun to finally explore one of astrology’s most beloved placements: Venus.

Venus is often discussed through the lens of love, relationships, beauty, and aesthetics, but in my experience, its role in branding goes much deeper than choosing a color palette or dressing for your Venus sign.

In traditional astrology, Venus speaks to what we value, what we desire, how we relate to others, and the ways we naturally attract people into our orbit. It governs pleasure, connection, magnetism. The reason “dress like your Venus sign” became such popular advice is because Venus often reveals what feels beautiful and aligned to us. But when we’re talking about brands, I think the more interesting question is: how does your brand express love?

In my branding framework, Venus represents how your brand attracts its ideal audience, what people value most about working with you beyond the product or service itself, how you nurture your community, and your brand’s natural love language.

It’s worth noting that your Venus placement becomes especially important if you’re a Taurus or Libra Rising, have a Taurus or Libra Midheaven, or have Venus closely connected to those points in your chart. Because Venus rules Taurus and Libra, its influence tends to be woven directly into how you’re perceived and how your work is received as well.

As someone with a Taurus Midheaven, Venus is already an incredibly important planet in my chart because it rules my career and public image. My Venus is in Pisces, and when I look back at every iteration of Lunaria, I can clearly see both energies at play.

The Taurus influence shows up in my love of thoughtful design, printed materials (!!), intentional details, and creating work that feels timeless rather than trendy. The Pisces influence appears in the dreaminess, the spirituality of it all and the feeling that the brand exists somewhere between reality and somewhere else.

But Venus isn’t just visible in the way my brand looks. It’s visible in the way I love on my audience.

One of the questions I always ask clients when exploring Venus is: What do you value most when hiring a service or buying a product?

For me, the answer is expertise, personalization, intentionality, and feeling truly understood. I love when someone has a clear process but adapts it to my needs. I appreciate thoughtful details and am more interested in quality over quantity, always.

And when I look at my own business, those exact same values have become the foundation of how I work. One of the things clients mention most often in testimonials is how deeply seen they felt throughout the process. They talk about how personalized the experience was, how understood they felt, and how the final result felt like an authentic extension of who they already were.

The values I seek are the values I naturally give.

Because one of the patterns I’ve noticed after years of working with brands is that the qualities we value most are often the same qualities our audience ends up valuing in us. Venus reminds us that attraction isn’t random. More often than not, we attract people through the very values we’re already living.

What if the thing that makes your brand magnetic isn’t something you need to learn, but something you’re already doing naturally?

Start by asking yourself:

  • What do you value most when hiring a service or buying a product?

  • What do you feel your clients value most about working with you outside of the service itself?

  • How does this make you different from other people in your industry?

  • What is your personal love language? Would you say your brand shares it?

  • How can you infuse that love language into your client experience, content, offers, or community?

People often think attraction comes from becoming someone else or more like the people or brands they admire. But astrology consistently shows us the opposite.

One of the things I love most about Venus is that it shifts our attention away from strategy and back toward relationships. Because at the end of the day, people don’t just buy products.

They buy through trust and the feeling of being understood.

And while we’re often taught to think of branding as something visual, some of the strongest brands I’ve encountered are memorable because of how they make people feel.

Here’s your cheat sheet, sign-by-sign, on how your Venus naturally attracts people, nurtures your audience, and creates meaningful relationships within your brand.
