Firstly, thank you so much for continuing to support my blog and for your patience in my absence. I’ve spent a month screwing and unscrewing lightbulbs with my tongue sticking out, which nobody asked me to do, and they didn’t even need changing. How are you? Are you well?
I hope you don’t mind me veering off-topic, but I’ve expanded my scope beyond comedy to interview one of my all-time-favourite bands for the Sheffield Star! They’re called Dead Harts.
Now, that might sound fabulous, but it’s a pretty serious piece. It’s a tribute, really, to their drummer, Ant Allen, who died in 2021. You can read about it by clicking here.
I’ll probably have to put long-form transcriptions of comedy interviews on the back burner to concentrate on getting articles published by newspapers, as I think it’s about time someone paid me to do this!
But crucially, I’m going to continue predominantly interviewing comedians.
And I’ll provide the long-form audio whenever I share each piece; maybe I’ll do some blog-exclusive interviews with just the audio and an intro to boost my mental health.1 Yes, I think I’ll have to.
Bluntly, your support has such a positive effect on my life. Seriously.
Thank you,
Dan xx
The recording isn’t provided here because it’s such a sensitive topic.
