Exclusive: DHS Special Agents Request Voting History of Every American

The Department of Homeland Security’s bumbling secret police have a new request for private corporations hawking data on American citizens: your voting history. In a solicitation posted today by the Department of Homeland Security’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the agency running what my vertically challenged colleague and collaborator Ken Klippenstein has described as the new American Stasi wants to see who you voted for, and when.

Here is what HSI is looking for on you:

“The purpose of this acquisition is for the handling and secure delivery of publicly available voter registration files and voter history files to support Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) fraud detection and data segmentation activities.

The Contractor shall acquire, document, and securely deliver public voter registration files and, when applicable, public voter history files from Government-identified U.S. jurisdictions. The Contractor shall also provide technical support on jurisdiction-specific file structures, formats, and fields, as directed by the Government. For purposes of this section, “jurisdiction” means any U.S. state, the District of Columbia, any U.S. territory, or any other U.S. jurisdiction identified in writing by the Government.”

Of course, the shock troopers who have been gunning down American citizens in the streets and infiltrating activist meetings and labor unions are claiming that this new solicitation is just for “public information” that will be used to “persecute fraud”. But as we have come to learn, HSI’s chief concern is enforcing the most radical interpretation of Donald Trump’s National Security Presidential Memorandum 7 (NSPM-7). When they are not persecuting constitutionally protected speech and assembly as we have seen in Minneapolis, HSI serves as a thin yellow line to protect other agents in the DHS in their targeted assassinations of U.S. citizens like Alex Pretti (HSI in an extraordinary move was assigned as the investigatory agency for the probe of his killing).

As these new secret police continue to target left wing groups from the DSA to the Sunrise movement, it should come as no surprise that they want to see who voted for who and when. Indeed, some of our elected officials belong to the DSA, have spoken at sunrise events, and even use the term “democratic socialist” with pride.

If the criminalization of the ideas espoused by these groups and their celebration through speech, pamphleteering, and in-person organizing is now a crime, then it makes sense that exercising that barest of constitutional rights, the right to vote, is the next enemy in HSI’s crosshairs.
