Antidote
It was quite late when I got home, much later than I had anticipated but I just couldn’t find my way out of Newcastle. It has changed so much since I lived there a few decades ago and a lot of the streets in the city centre have been redirected or closed to traffic. I had forgotten how busy it could be at night, especially a Friday or Saturday night which this was. Seeing the zombies wandering around felt strange because before I got cured, I used to be one. I used to stumble around the streets not really knowing what was going on or what I was doing. Vacant. Medicated. Veering off course and into the oncoming traffic. In danger. I used to be one but not now. Now I know how to treat it. Now I know how to heal myself. How I healed myself.
I don’t take the medicine.
