This is the last piece of my 2027 NFL Draft summer scouting process. And it’s the longest one.
I’ve watched and graded 16 quarterbacks, charted 13 of them, and have received plenty of intel from scouts and agents around the NFL on how they are viewed inside buildings. Hours have been poured into the tape of this year’s quarterback class, and it’s time to let it rip with this year’s quarterback class deep dive.
I do not have the conviction on any quarterback in this class as a big-time riser the way I did with now No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza last Spring. However, that does not mean it’s not a good class; it just means it’s a more outwardly apparent and understood class than a year ago.
In this article, I break down the ball placement and accuracy profile of the quarterbacks in the class to communicate who the most accurate passers are, I give my top-10 quarterbacks in the class (including a few honorable mentions), tier the class, and even provide a few names that I’ve heard could be on the rise this year.
It’s a long piece, so hunker down.
