Everything Else I Watched in June 2026

I’m going to fight my urge to apologize for going through another month with so few posts and just try to settle into the reality that this is how it is for the time being. I’m so busy being a dad that I don’t have as much time for Dad Shows. It’s hard to not write as much as I’m used to, but I’m grateful that I get to be so present for my daughter’s first year. TV will always be there (maybe, we’ll see, I may have to start reviewing video game playthroughs the way things are going), but she’ll only be this small once. I just wish there were more hours in a day, you know? If anyone knows where to find a few more, let me know.

Here’s what I watched in June 2026 that wasn’t The Bear or other stuff that I’m planning to write about in the future…

This month, I went to the movies for the first time since the baby was born. I saw the horror sensation Backrooms, which was a really good pick for a first movie back, not because it was a particularly good movie, but because for the first time in a year I felt like I was participating in a cultural moment I had to leave the house for. When you’re taking care of a baby, it’s easy to forget about the outside world, so it was nice to go to a movie theater and be around people and not have to pause to change a diaper.
