Iowa State Wide Receivers Coach Derrick Sherman visits with John Walters. Sherman knows the Big 12, having spent the last two seasons at Houston under Willie Fritz. He talks about the group of talented incoming receivers at Iowa State.
ISU Offensive Line Coach Jake Thornton visits with John Walters about the competition in the O-Line room and memories of his grandfather, who is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
John Walters visits with ISU men's basketball assistant coach Al Hanson. Hanson played at Wisconsin-Milwaukee and helped lead the Panthers to Sweet 16 of the 2005 NCAA Tournament. He spent the last year at Bradley, helping coach another Milwaukee product, JaQuan Johnson, who now plays for the Cyclones.
New Iowa State running backs coach John Johnson visits with John Walters. After a year at New Mexico, Johnson reunites with head coach Jimmy Rogers. The two had worked together at South Dakota State.
ISU defensive coach Ross Watson visits with John Walters. Watson is ISU's passing defense coordinator and works with the SAM linebacker/nickel back position. He comes to Iowa State from Toledo, which had one of the nation's top pass defenses last season.
Pete Menage, who coaches the Iowa State safeties, visits with John Walters. Pete is a Rock Rapids, Iowa native, so he's thrilled to be at Iowa State. He's been with Jimmy Rogers in each of his previous Head Coaching spots - South Dakota State and Washington State.
Five-time All-American swimmer Jay Schindler visits with ISU Director of Letterwinners Engagement Mike Green. In September, Schindler will be inducted into the ISU Athletics Hall of Fame. Schindler won six individual conference championships during his ISU career in the late 1990's and he also helped lead the Cyclones to a Big Eight team title in 1995.
In September, Georges Niang will be inducted into the ISU Athletics Hall of Fame. Mike Green, Director of Letterwinners Engagement, visits with Iowa State's only two-time men's basketball All-American about his brilliant collegiate career which has led to a ten-year career in the NBA.
Edward Kemboi will be inducted into the ISU Athletics Hall of Fame this September. Edward was a two-time NCAA champion in the 800 meter run and an eight-time All-American. Mike Green, ISU's Director of Letterwinners Engagement visits with Kemboi about his illustrious career.
In September, former All-Big Eight defensive lineman Lawrence "Big Daddy" Hunt will be inducted into the ISU Athletics Hall of Fame. Hunt had a great career, racking up 334 career tackles and helping lead Iowa State to it's first two bowl appearances in school history. Mike Green, Director of Letterwinners Engagement conducts the interview with Big Daddy.
