Is cybersecurity near the end of its maturity curve? 🤔

We read Ross Haleliuk's cybersecurity consolidation post where he shared a bit of history about maturing industries and makes the case that cybersecurity is maturing and data points around consolidation.

This research is fascinating!

The industry is maturing and there is consolidation, but that might not cover the entire story.

Two additional takeaways from Cyberse's experts:

  • There are actually more cybersecurity products than ever, many in categories related to new types of threats and technologies (i.e., AI)

  • Consolidation is mainly around core underlying technologies: endpoints, network/cloud, and automation

We are building a cybersecurity marketplace because the industry is maturing, and, as it matures, it's becoming easier to understand and organize, especially with AI models and the right community.

For mid-sized companies, cybersecurity feels like alphabet soup. 😵‍💫

#MFA, #EDR, #SASE, #DLP… how do you know what actually matters for your team?

That’s why we built Cyberse Category Guides.

Our guides break down the noise and give you the essentials:

1️⃣ What the category actually is
2️⃣ Key considerations and trade-offs
3️⃣ Definitions and common terms
4️⃣ Top solutions with ratings across SMB, mid-market, and enterprise
5️⃣ The latest news and quarterly trends

We’ve published guides across 9 core categories, including Threat and Vulnerability Management, Identity Security, Endpoint Security, Network Security, and more!

If you’re a security leader at a growing company, these guides help you learn fast, compare vendors side by side, and benchmark your program against peers without drowning in marketing fluff.

Start with the category that’s top of mind for you and explore the rest as you build out your program.

That’s it for this issue!
