USA Cycling confirmed today that, effective for the 2026- 2027 cyclocross season and beyond, all bikes being used in any UCI category cyclocross races, including Elite, U23, and Junior 17-18 categories, must:
Be listed on the UCI List of Approved Framesets
Display the official UCI approval sticker on the frame
This means that anyone racing in a UCI race must have a UCI-approved frameset. Along with annual UCI license-holders in the elite, U23 and junior fields, this rule will also apply to anyone, including age-group racers, who wishes to participate in the Pan-American Cyclocross Championships, which will take place on November 7 in Washington, D.C.
If you register for PanAms and show up with a bike without the appropriate UCI sticker on the frame, you will not be allowed to race on Saturday. You can still race that bike at DCCX on Sunday in the non-UCI fields.
