In the San Joaquin Valley, the number of veterans with a service-connected disability has increased in the last four years from about 28% to 45%.
Yet, income thresholds allowed by colleges has been a common challenge in accessing college for many children of those same injured veterans.
The percentage of registered voters who participated is now 17.64%. That’s substantially lower than the turnout for the 2020 presidential primary, where 43.3% of voters turned out.
