REDDIT IS CELEBRATING PEOPLE IN THEIR NEW CAMPAIGN

At a time when AI-generated content is becoming harder and harder to escape, Reddit is going in the opposite direction.

The platform has launched its new “People Are Best” campaign, celebrating the real conversations, questions, and communities that make Reddit, well... Reddit. Rather than focusing on tech and, it’s shining a light on the human experiences and insights that people share on the platform every day.

As more platforms embrace AI, Reddit is making a pretty clear statement: sometimes the best content still comes from actual people.

STARBUCKS IS DOUBLING DOWN ON EMPLOYEE CREATORS

In partnership with TikTok, Starbucks is piloting a new creator programme built around the power of employee-generated content (EGC). Employees can create content, get paid for it, and have their videos featured in paid advertising.

Starbucks employees have been creating content about the brand for years. Now, the company is turning that organic behaviour into a structured creator network. It’s a win-win: employees get paid for creating the content they’re already making, while Starbucks gets authentic content from the people who know the brand best.

TACO BELL IS TAPPING INTO CULTURE

With the FIFA World Cup in full swing, Taco Bell has launched L.O.C.O.S. (Loss or Celebration Outcome Support), an “emotional support taco” campaign for football fans.

Through the Taco Bell Rewards app, fans can join a gamified experience to win free tacos and exclusive merch, whether they’re celebrating a win or recovering from a loss. It’s a fun reminder that the best cultural marketing doesn’t interrupt the moment, it joins in.

Taco Bell debuts L.O.C.O.S., a first-of-its-kind for the brand global platform showing up for fans in culture's biggest moments, no matter who they're rooting for and no matter the outcome.

DUNKINS PATRIOTIC CUP

Remember the Starbucks Bearista cup craze? Dunkin’ clearly does.

To celebrate the U.S.’s 250th birthday, the brand has launched a limited-edition eagle cup, and some stores reportedly sold out within hours. Social media has spent years proving that people love a collectible, and brands are still finding new ways to tap into that excitement. Judging by the this latest limited edition drop, the hype isn’t going anywhere just yet.

PEOPLE ARE SHARING THEIR HECTIC BRAINS WHEN TRYING MAKE A DESICION

If you’ve ever had ten different thoughts fighting for attention while trying to make a simple decision, TikTok has a trend for you.

Creators are pairing everyday decision-making struggles with a mash-up of Migos’ Stir Fry and Sabrina Carpenter’s Nobody’s Son, perfectly capturing what an overthinking brain sounds like.

This week’s stories all had one thing in common: people.

Real conversations, employee creators, football fans, and everyday moments all proving that, despite all the new technology, the internet is still at its best when there’s a person behind the screen.

See you on next week’s scroll.
