Who Do You Actually Trust?

Trust showed up in three completely different ways for me this week.

I talked about choosing a travel advisor you can actually trust, cutting through AI tool overload, and teaching a room full of beginners how to use Claude without feeling like they needed to suddenly become tech experts. On the surface, those conversations had nothing to do with each other.

But underneath? They were all asking the same question:

Who do you actually trust, and what evidence have they given you that they deserve it?

Before you worry about trusting the right advisor, platform, AI tool, or expert, learn to trust yourself enough to ask questions.

You are allowed to ask where your money is going.

You’re allowed to decide a tool doesn’t work for you.

You’re allowed to tell AI, “Nope. That’s not what I meant.”

And you’re allowed to need more evidence before you give someone your trust.

“Trust doesn’t mean you stop asking questions. Sometimes asking the question is exactly how trust gets built.”

Don’t give your trust away just because somebody looks like they know what they’re doing. Ask the question. Read the policy. Learn the tool. Check the receipt. And when your gut tells you something needs another look, give it another look.
