Welcome one and all to the hundred-and-third volume of the Areopagus, which begins with a simple announcement: I have made a short film, its name is The Modern World, and you can watch it here.
It’s simultaneously a standalone piece and the pilot for a future series that will explore history through art and architecture, both for the sake of those things themselves and also to see what we can learn from them about life in the 21st century.
