Happy Monday.
I hope you are well.
I’m tired today. My back hurts. The coffee’s weak, and the sky is dreary. So today, I’m feeling eh.
Last week was busy. Actually, every week is busy. I guess that’s just how it goes when you’ve got a lot on your plate. But today, the need for rest is really weighing on me. I feel pressure to show up — and not just show up, but to enjoy every moment of it. To be fully present. To get it right. For you. For me.
There were a lot of good highs last week. And a few low lows. Maybe what I’m feeling now is the aftershock. Maybe this moment is just my body saying, "Hey… it’s time to reset."
And maybe the most important thing I can do today is listen.
I talk a lot about rest. So much, in fact, that it probably seems like it’s all I do—or all I want you to do. But my reality is quite different. My days are full. My brain is often buzzing. It’s a lot of go-go-go. So I know I’ve earned a break. In fact, rest should be a top priority on my to-do list.
But there’s always something else to do, and that idea gets heavy.
I don’t know what personality type that makes me. But I do know it’s not sustainable. So today, I rest. And I write. And I share this with you, not just as a reminder for myself, but for anyone else who needs to hear it:
Taking a break doesn’t mean you’re not doing something meaningful. It doesn’t mean you’re failing, or not passionate enough, or lacking discipline. That voice in your head saying, "It’s okay to pause right now,” is not the devil. It’s an angel guiding you through this moment so the next one can feel different.
So once again, together, we pause.
And we ask ourselves, “What does this pause mean today?”
Maybe it’s a breath of gratitude. A chance to say, "Good job," for how much you’ve already shown up today.
Maybe it’s creating space to listen to something stirring inside that’s been quietly waiting for your attention.
Or maybe it’s just plugging yourself into the charger until you’re ready you’ve got enough energy to begin again.
Whatever it is... it’s okay.
It’s great, in fact.
Because listening to yourself — that’s showing up too, in the best way you can!
I’m tired today. But I’m still here.
And so are you.
Let’s take that truth and carry it gently through the day.
Let it be a quiet promise to show up authentically. To soften the grip. To follow the flow.
I have a feeling it’ll take us somewhere we didn’t expect. Somewhere just right.
Have a beautiful day, my friend.
Much love.
And bye for now.
❤️
