I'm Moving

Hubby and I have had to move many times over the years. While some kids might brag to strangers, “I’m eating candy,” when my son was 6 he would boast, “We’ve moved 7 times!” No, we’re not a military family but hubby’s career making video games was a close second.

I’m too old for this sh-t

I’m literally tired of moving. I pack a box, take a break, drive stuff over to our final home, need a nap. Today I have to scrub the wood floors in the family room like Abigail Adams in the fab series, John Adams, with Laura Linney and Paul Giamatti.

Stubborn settled chimney dust laughs at the vinegar and water, hemp soap, Bona spray. AI says I need to put on my Abigail bonnet and scrub, wipe and buff. I haven’t “buffed” since the one of five times I used our wedding-gift silver for a Thanksgiving dinner. I said, “F-ck it, let’s use the china, crystal and silver.” The silver needed buffing. (It’s no wonder young couples these days register for USEFUL ITEMS like suitcases, a decent vacuum and cash.)

Apollo will oversee the work as he always does.
