With just a few days left on the Early Registration offers for my Winter/Spring classes, I wanted to highlight one that I’m growing excited about—Paper and Layers with Encaustic.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to spend a few hours at a demo by another artist who works with encaustic as her main medium, and it made me want to run home and pull out all my equipment and spend the rest of the afternoon playing. I am resisting that urge, but eagerly anticipating getting to teach Paper and Layers with Encaustic at the Studio Eleven retreat in Phoenix coming up next week.

First up, Paper and Layers with Encaustic Live Online on April 1st:
We’ll cover a variety of methods for combining collage and encaustic, adding surface design, textures, embedding objects and more!
This one is quite the bargain at only $75, as you’ll get access to my Encaustic Basics for Mixed Media Lesson when you register. It’s a great place to start if you’ve never used Encaustic wax before and a great refresh even if you have.
The following week, on April 9th I’m hosting an in person workshop in my studio.
This one is a little different, as I’ll be breaking out the pigmented wax alongside the clear medium, making it even more adaptable to the participants.
Opt for the workshop only on April 9th or go for the additional April 10th open studio day combo and have even more time to work on your projects with my supplies and guidance.
