🧠 A small brain hack that’s quietly changed how I capture information, think, recall and remember.

For years I kept losing ideas.

Notes in random apps or scraps of paper.
Lyrics I loved and forgotten.
Something smart someone said over coffee.
A dream lost by the morning.
A word I loved.

Gone.

So I built a simple system that's been working for me for over a year now.

Every week has one container.
I dump everything in there.

Conversations. Overheard phrases. Patterns. Questions. Half-formed thoughts. Lyrics. Ideas. Quotes.
No structure. No agenda. No audience, just for me.

I call them 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀. 🧠

Why it works for me? Phone is never too far, so capture friction is low.

Some weeks are more full than others. Does it mean I pay more attention then? Am I more present? Maybe.

Neuroscience backs this up. When you externalise a thought, write it down. You reduce cognitive load and increase the chance of later recall. The act of noting is encoding. It signals to the brain: this might matter.

It might resurface in a keynote.
In a strategy session. In a conversation.
In a year.
Or never.

That’s not the point.

The practice itself sharpens awareness and grows your memory, makes you more attentive and curious.

I do it for me. I don't care if it makes sense to anyone. It's fun. So sharing as it's been a really helpful and fun hack. Few of the clients I coach and advise to started doing it too and they've been loving it.

Got any brain / hack system that work for you?

P.S. Happy decoding what it all means :) Eco vandals - from this morning's coffee chat with my barista friends.
