Returning to Resurrection Power

Simply Rebeka · Sparks in the Dark

As the sun rises this Easter morning,
I find myself wondering:

Do we really know
what kind of power raised Jesus from the dead?

Not just in words— but in experience?

The first time I encountered the word dynamis—power—
I realized how little I understood.

We speak of God’s power so easily.
But what we know is only a drop in the bucket.

Like discovering how a tiny fragment of uranium
can release unimaginable force and even that is only a small spark

Because resurrection power is not destructive.

It does not consume.

It burns from within.

Like the fire in the bush that was not burned.
Like a heart set ablaze with love.
Like a living stream, full of life.

This is dynamis.

Not power that crushes— but power that awakens.

Not power that takes—but power that fills.

And slowly, I begin to see: This power is not something we chase. It is something we return to.

All these weeks, we have been returning.

Through fire and ash.
Through letting go.
Through abiding.

Like branches returning to the vine.
Like salmon swimming back to the source.
Like sparks returning to the fire.

And here at the empty tomb, we discover the power was there all along.'

The stone was rolled away.
The seal was broken.
The guards had no authority.

As it says in Gospel of Matthew 28:2—
the earth shook, an angel descended and sat on the stone.

Death has been overcome.

And this same power… lives in us.

Not as something distant but rooted deep within. A life so full, so grounded in love that you are no longer searching. You are abiding.

You are not striving for anointing— you are already connected to the Source.

The oil flows.
The fruit comes.
The life overflows.

This is resurrection life.

This is shalom.

A life where you feel whole.
Complete.
Alive.

Where Christ is in you and you in Him.

Joy.
Power.
Hope.

Jesus has risen. And we are rising with Him.

Take a moment…

Rub your palms together. Feel the warmth.

Place your hands on your heart then wherever your body needs blessing.

Whisper:

“The life of Christ lives in me.”
“The fire that does not consume burns within me.”

Let your body respond—
a breath,
a sway,
a small movement.

Just receive.

May the resurrection power of Christ
rise within you—

not as force,
but as life.

Not as striving,
but as abiding.

May you know the fire that does not consume,
the love that does not run dry,
the life that cannot be taken.

Christ is risen.

And you are held
in that rising.

Amen.

And as you go— carry this quiet knowing: The stone has been rolled away… and something in you has already begun to rise.

As we come to the close of this series, I want to thank you for journeying with me through Sparks in the Dark. Your presence has meant more than you know. Please enjoy this final song that wraps around the heart of our journey…

May it stay with you—
a gentle reminder that the spark is still alive,
and always finding its way home.
