In March 2026, Create Caribbean partnered with Whose Knowledge and Noircir Wikipedia to host "Hidden Caribbean Figures", a two-day hybrid Wikipedia editing event at UWI's Mona Campus. About 20 participants — including students, librarians, and researchers from across the region — worked to close the Caribbean's content gap on Wikipedia, drawing on Create Caribbean's Visualizing Caribbean Literature database of more than 3,000 literary works. The event produced new biographies for authors like Alick Lazare and Celeste Mohammed, along with over 50 improved entries on Caribbean literary figures — proof that when local knowledge leads, the whole world gets a fuller picture of Caribbean culture.

We want to thank everyone who registered their child or children for our very first instalment of Create & Code in Jamaica, and a big thank you to all involved in helping to make it a success!
