September and October have been a whirlwind of adventure! I journeyed to the stunning landscapes of Iceland and recently spent a delightful long weekend in the charming city of Cambridge.
Most weekends, I also embarked on day trips to hidden gems right here in Yorkshire, discovering new places close to home.
Curiosity is guiding me, and the desire for new meaningful experiences.
For me, it's also the antidote to feeling stuck. Getting out there, creating new beginnings by making tiny changes to my daily routines.
What I found is that the moment you start treating life as an adventure, you will never feel stuck again.
Perhaps you are thinking about changing your career, letting go of a relationship, moving countries, living off-grid, starting a business, or making some other profound change – it can feel overwhelming, scary or you just can't muster up the energy to get off the sofa.
All you need to do is to give yourself a little nudge. But how?
Based on my own experiences, here are some practical steps to help you get unstuck and reset your life:
Physical movement can help shift your mental state. Whether it’s a walk, a workout, or even dancing around your living room, getting your body moving can break the cycle of stagnation.
Fear is a natural response to stepping out of your comfort zone. Acknowledge your fear, but don’t let it hold you back. Taking action despite fear builds resilience and confidence.
Pay attention to what excites you. Your curiosity and enthusiasm are powerful guides. Pursue activities and interests that spark joy and intrigue.
Growth often happens outside of your comfort zone. Embrace discomfort as a sign that you’re pushing your boundaries and expanding your capabilities.
Change is inevitable. Instead of resisting it, learn to flow with it. Adaptability is a key skill in navigating life’s ups and downs.
Holding onto past mistakes, regrets, or grudges can keep you stuck. Practice letting go and forgiving yourself and others. This frees up mental and emotional space for new opportunities.
The hardest part of any journey is often the first step. Don’t wait for the perfect moment; start now. Small actions can lead to significant progress over time.
Routine can be comforting, but it can also lead to stagnation. Introduce variety into your daily habits to keep things fresh and stimulating.
Challenges are opportunities in disguise. Embrace difficulties as chances to learn, grow, and become more resilient.
Set clear intentions for what you want to achieve. Challenge yourself with new goals that push you to grow and evolve.
Perfectionism can be paralyzing. Focus on making progress, no matter how small. Celebrate your achievements along the way.
Consistency is key to creating lasting change. Commit to your goals and take regular, sustained action towards them.
Build confidence by taking small steps that lead to little wins. Each success reinforces your belief in your ability to achieve your goals.
A positive mindset can transform your experience. Practice gratitude, focus on the good, and maintain an optimistic perspective.
Sometimes, a shift in perspective is all you need to get unstuck. Look at your situation from different angles and consider new possibilities.
By incorporating these steps into your life, you can break free from stagnation and create a path towards a more fulfilling and dynamic future.
What are you struggling with in terms of choice and decision-making?
What is keeping you in a place where you can’t seem to move forward?
What tiny action can you take to start loosening from your position? (e.g. something easy but impactful, taking up to 5 minutes of your time)
Remember, the journey to getting unstuck is a process, and every small step you take brings you closer to your goals.
Letting go is never easy, but 2025 is the year I will archive my Cosmic Spirit Tarot website in its final resting place. The hosting contract will expire in July, so I have plenty of time to transfer any useful posts.
I've loved running my tarot website for so many years, but I have changed and feel the urge to embark on new projects.
One of which is the resurrection of my old YouTube channel, where I've started posting videos again, simply because I enjoy documenting my introvert life and the everyday magic I find in nature, books, creative journaling, and mindful explorations.
My new obsessions are literature, travelling, simple living, and minimalism. Feeling alive by walking a new path.
I look forward to sharing with you more soon🌺
In the meantime, let me know what's happening in your life.
I'd love to hear from you💚
Until next time,
