When we started, the brief was simple: make it easier for Web3 builders to find funding. Not another blog post with a list of 10 grants that goes stale in three months. A real database, one that gets updated no matter what, and stays free for anyone who needs it.

Most grant lists have the same problem: they’re accurate for about two weeks after publication, then they decay. Programs close. Links go dead. Eligibility shifts. The list looks comprehensive but the signal-to-noise ratio drops fast and nobody updates it.
Our answer is straightforward: every 48 hours. Every active grant on web3grants.co has been verified recently. Dead grants get removed. New crypto funding opportunities get added as they’re announced. You can filter by blockchain ecosystem, funding topic, and grant status: active opportunities only, or upcoming ones you can prepare for now. Every listing links directly to the original source: the foundation’s own page, the application form, the governance proposal. No middleman, no detour through us.
New grants are added regularly. It’s worth checking back since the database is designed to be something you return to, not something you bookmark once and forget about.
The best grants database isn’t the longest one. It’s the one where every listing is real, active, and worth your time to read.
One of the most underused categories in Web3 funding is EU grant programmes. Horizon Europe and Horizon 2020 have deployed close to €700 million into blockchain and DLT projects since 2016 but the information is buried in Commission databases that were never built for crypto founders to navigate.
We’re built in the EU, so covering these programmes properly matters to us. web3grants.co includes EU blockchain grants alongside ecosystem grants from Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot, Arbitrum, and dozens of other chains. If you’re a European builder, the non-dilutive funding available through Horizon Europe is often larger and longer-term than most Web3 ecosystem grants.
Knowing a grant exists is different from understanding the programme behind it. How much has it actually deployed? Across how many projects? What kinds of work does it fund in practice, not just on paper? These are the questions that determine whether an application is worth your time and they’re almost impossible to answer from a listing alone.
So we built analytics.web3grants.co — a public, data-driven layer on top of the grants database. Real numbers: funding deployed, projects supported, impact metrics where they exist. The context that turns a grant listing into a real funding decision. Two programme analyses are live now. More are being added.
Every grant in the database links directly to the source: the application page, the foundation’s own criteria, the form. Straight there, no detour through us. We built it that way deliberately. A builder anywhere in the world shouldn’t need to hire anyone just to find out that a grant exists and how to apply for it.
That said, we’ve spent a long time in this space. Cornaro Labs has helped many teams write stronger applications, position their projects clearly, and navigate the parts of grant-making that aren’t written down anywhere: what reviewers actually look for, how to frame early-stage traction, when to apply for which programme and in what order. Some teams find that useful. Others figure it out fine on their own.
Either way, the database is free and the links are direct. That’s not changing.
