Another Wrong WND Columnist, Part 2

Hanne Nabintu Herland — the right-wing WorldNetDaily columnist who tends to be wrong about things — spent a March 2025 WND column cheering “strong men with hard power” running the world, since at least they’re not socialists:

Socialist Europe, which has complacently embraced the atheist Marxist narrative for decades, finds itself thrown into a new conservative paradigm. President Donald Trump has launched a significant offensive against the globalist billionaire empire that has profited from the outsourcing of jobs and wealth to China and the ultra-rich elite for decades. Europe is shocked.

Vice President J.D. Vance’s speech at the Munich security conference perfectly illustrated the problem. Since then European leaders have continued the Biden administration’s desire for war in Ukraine “down to the last Ukrainian,” while the United States pushes for peace. Europe is still running the Biden-narrative warmongering show on behalf of their masters, the globalist cabal.

Sir Alex Younger, the former head of MI6, recently provided an insightful analysis of the shifting dynamics in international relations. He pointed out that the new era will be defined by strong men with hard power, just like after World War II. At the Yalta Treaty in 1945, three strong men – the leaders of the United States, Russia and Great Britain – decided the fate of the small countries. There was little the small states could do. They were assigned the role of following up on what the strong decided.

“This is Donald Trump’s mindset,” says Younger. “It is definitely Putin’s mindset, and it is Xi Jinping’s mindset. It is the world we are moving into.” The shift is from unipolarism to multipolarism.

Herland seems confused about Ukraine — Russia is the warmonger here, not the U.S. Then again, she’s very much a Putin stooge. She went on to more specifically cheer Donald Trump’s brand of authoritarianism in her column a couple weeks later:

Amid the seismic geopolitical changes President Donald Trump dramatically and unapologetically causes, the globalist norms that have governed the West since the fall of the Soviet Union are falling.

The world goes through fundamental changes of the type that will make history, and certain years are identified as marks of game-changing times. One such year is 1945. It marked the end of World War II and Great Britain losing its superpower status to the United States.

The year 1968 was another such year, as it signified the Marxist “free drugs and sex” revolution in the West, a fundamental revolt against traditional Western values such as the traditional family, gender roles, respect for the church, personal liberties and responsibilities. The Marxists implemented the dramatic demonization of Christianity – which set the tone for the subsequent atheist-socialist decades in Europe, and the culture war in the United States.

We are currently amid yet another important year: 2025 marks the end of the globalist unipolar era. President Donald Trump reshapes the geopolitical map, strengthening the nation state and traditional Western values as the United States reenters a historic phase of strength in a multipolar world.

The Trump strategy to strengthen the nation state, decentralize power, halt waste, fraud and theft, hold government officials accountable, giving individuals more freedom and personal responsibility, may be precisely what is needed to give the decaying American giant a new golden age.

Herland served up more Trump rah-rah in an April 2025 column, this time cheering his tariff regime:

President Donald Trump’s radical tariff plan marks the end of the ongoing globalist injustice that has enriched low-cost countries such as China and their Western billionaire partners at the expense of the Western worker. The Western globalist billionaire class rose to power precisely by partnering with China. The working class has been systematically impoverished, while profits and benefits have been exported to China and into the hands of the Western billionaire elite, without redistribution back to American citizens. Furthermore, mega corporations are often registered in tax havens, cleverly avoiding taxation.

After decades of outsourcing manufacturing and American expertise, some few individuals in the West have become so powerful that they also exert fundamental political influence, dominating what is left of democracy, serving solely their own interests. This is described in my book, “The Billionaire World. How Marxism Serves the Elite.”

President Trump’s stated objective is to rectify this imbalance by resuming the traditional Western capitalist principle of equal treatment irrespective of one’s national origin, halting the discrimination against the United States and revitalizing domestic investments. The objective is to establish a level playing field for all nations to compete on equal terms. The existing globalist tariff system has been based on inequality, downgrading the Western worker while favoring the Global South. This has resulted in the U.S. industry suffering in many ways, also when exporting goods to other countries.

After a lengthy rant about Marxism and socialism — something she does a lot — she concluded:

The fundamental weakness of Marxist-socialism is its inability to comprehend that power structures fluctuate. The dynamics of power relationships are subject to change over time. If China was poor decades ago, it does not mean that China will always remain the weak link. The Asian Tiger’s economic situation has evolved significantly. The ascendancy of China signifies a massive geopolitical shift in global power dynamics, and the West is significantly and way too much dependent on China. This phenomenon is precisely what President Donald Trump seeks to reverse. Trump’s rearrangement of the tariff system attacks the injustice of unequal tariffs, stops the discrimination of the United States and returns world trade to the classical Western concept of meritocracy. The hope is to halt the American decline and create a new golden age.

Herland wrote a self-published book in 2020 insisting that Trump is “the most demonized president in US history. Why? Because he challenges the globalist elite, who also own the media.”

Herland spent another April 2025 column fretting that white people (like her) are purportedly being discriminated against:

The concept of multiculturalism derives from the highly flawed neo-Marxist philosophy that permeated Western society during the 1960s onward. It has successfully torn down the traditional Western ideal of meritocracy based on equality regardless of race, creed, ethnic origin which was a defining factor for the Western civilizational success story. These ideals were replaced by the highly racist deconstruction theory that judges individuals according to class or skin color, in a system seemingly designed to kill stability in Western nations. (Racism is defined as the evaluation of a person only based on the person’s ethnic origin or skin color.)

In Europe, non-Western immigrants were given the chronic victim card, and the current discrimination against the indigenous native Europeans by their own leaders began. Instead of listening to their needs they demonized their views and attacked their own population.

Europeans were told to step aside and allow immigrants to arguably behave however rude they wanted, since they came from poor countries and “didn’t know” any better. They were to be excused from law-breaking behavior such as violent rapes, murders or entering the country illegally. The examples are horrifying. Sweden, the U.K., Netherlands, Germany, France In short, multiculturalism evolved into a system of racism against whites, in which personal accountability was sharply demanded of native persons with white skin color, but not from those who are considered black or foreign born. I pointed this out as early as 2007 in an op-ed in Norway’s largest newspaper, that “the predominant form of racism in today’s Norway is “the racism against whites.”

Multiculturalism – several cultures living side by side in a nation where the host country not imposing its values on incoming immigrant groups, but discriminates against the indigenous population in order to favor the incoming strangers – is now destroying us in Europe by separating individuals according to race rather than traditional Western meritocracy. The same has been spewed out from American universities for decades, creating dissent and hatred.

The socialist tyrannical groupthink may be a culprit, as I explained to co-founder of WND, Elizabeth Farah in a recent podcast interview In Europe, you easily lose funding or jobs in academia if you criticize the Marxist gurus. Most remain silent just as the intellectuals did under the NAZI fascism (NAZI is the abbreviation for The National Socialist Workers Party in Germany) during World War II. Whoever spoke up easily ended up in the labor camps. By legitimizing racism against whites, multiculturalism has succeeded in weakening Western nations. It now permeates Western civil society as a whole.

ConWebWatch has previously caught Herland falsely claiming that Nazis were socialists.

Herland did the same thing in an October 2025 column:

It is widely known that foreign-born rapists and criminals avoid accountability in Europe because political leaders are consumed with fear of being labeled racists. For decades, Marxist-socialist indoctrination has ingrained into Europeans that one should always excuse and feel sorry for non-Western immigrants since they come from non-functional, often highly corrupt states in poor parts of the world.

The Marxist left has thereby implemented a multicultural discrimination against native Europeans that demands accountability from indigenous European ethnicities in ways one would never dream of demanding from a dark-skinned, non-Western immigrant. In the authoritarian U.K., this discrimination against indigenous Brits are demonstrated as British individuals now are thrown into prison for social media comments that are negative toward mass immigration from non-Western countries, while foreign-born rapists and killers are almost excused in court.

This Marxist-socialist discrimination is the opposite of the historical Western ideal of equality regardless of race, creed, or social standing. It has produced the racism against white Europeans that today permeates European mainstream media and public discourse.

Very few discuss reported suicides by white girls post-rape as they and their families watch how reluctant officials are to pursue perpetrators. It is extremely rare to find individuals willing to speak about this publicly.

Apparently, Herland believes it’s OK to discriminate on the basis of skin color as long as that color isn’t white.

Herland used an August 2025 column to rant about George Soros:

Financial mogul, atheist and one of the world’s famous investors, George Soros has amassed much of his fortune via the controversial practice of ruthless, global currency speculation. With major impact on global economies, his aggressive financial strategies have targeted politics and pushed the demonization of traditional, Christian Western values for decades. His funding of Marxist, left-wing political movements have produced disruption, civil unrest and threatened national unity, while he has profited immensely. This has tainted Soros’ legacy and his NGO, Open Society Foundations.

So, what are the moral standards of a billionaire like Soros who wields such power over politicians, judges, government officials and the financial market? He once explained his view on morality in a “60 Minutes” interview, which gave a unique glimpse into his mind: “I don’t feel guilty, because I am engaged in an amoral activity which is not meant to have anything to do with guilt.” So, acting solely on monetary gain, not looking at the social consequences of his actions or any Environmental, Social and Governance standards (ESG) consideration, rendered him not personally accountable, since financial market choices are amoral activity in his view?

In fact, Soros’ view of markets has been justified by no other than Forbes magazine:

There’s no proof whatsoever that Soros is motivated by amorality in his speculations if you must call his well considered and carefully researched positions in a number of gold mining companies, off shore drilling operations, the Monsanto Corp. and many others that are disclosed regularly in his SEC filings.

Anyone who has read Soros analysis of the “The Credit Crisis of 2008 and What It Means,” in which he spells out his concept, his mantra, his insights into “The New Paradigm For Financial Markets,” (Public Affairs, 2008) No, Hertzberg. There is nothing “amoral” about being a student of financial markets and understanding when the prices of securities or coommodities or currencies have either risen too far or in other cases fallen too far. And then taking advantage of their having gone too far in one direction.

Is it “amoral” to have recognized in the summer of 2008 that the price of crude oil was in a massive bubble and set for a violent fall when it hit $148 a barrel. I call that brilliant and gutsy– and it provided Soros with a giant profit of God knows how much.

Herland then uncritically repeated the libel that the Jewish Soros was a Nazi:

Soros explains how during World War II, as a Jewish teenager, he was involved with NAZI activities, specifically selling off possessions confiscated from Jews sent to death camps. Soros has never publicly shown regret for these actions. On the other hand, he pointed out that it was the happiest time in his life. It was easy for him as a 14-year-old to help the NAZIs expropriate Jewish property, shamelessly recalling his collaboration with the them: “No, not at all. It created no problem at all. I was 14 years old, and I would say that that was when my character was made.”

Glenn Beck recently spoke about Soros in a Blaze TV podcast: “You took and sold the goods of homes that were taken by the NAZIs from the Jews. They took the Jews to the death camps, and you cleaned out the houses and sold the valuables. It is weird that you have no regrets on that. I was shocked to hear you say that when you were on ’60 Minutes.’ My follow-up question would have been, ‘Have you ever been diagnosed as a psychopath?’ It became very clear that you indeed were a psychopath when you spoke about how these experiments with countries and currencies that you collapse, that people are hurt but you find it to be ‘fun.’”

In fact, Soros was a teenager doing what he needed to do to survive the Nazi regime — in this case, posing as a Christian and helping a relative inventory Jewish property that had already been seized by the Nazis. Herland offers no evidence that Soros was personally involved in selling those belongings.

Herland continued to rant:

Since Soros, the term “philanthropy” has transformed into a highly negative term, used by billionaires to avoid taxation by funneling private capital into NGOs, using personal wealth to gain access to politicians and taxpayer money.

The Soros hedge fund success has been partly based on the strategy to actively produce the very results in countries that he had betted on would happen. By using his own NGOs, which have been heavily funded by government grants, he has been able to spectacularly destabilize nations, topple currencies, sway elections, and produce civil unrest and bloody revolutions that alter the course of a nation. By instigating revolt against conservative governments, radical gender ideologies have been promoted. And all this is considered, again, amoral activity.

Then again, Soros’ activities in this area tend to disrupt the right-wing authoritarians Herland loves, including Vladimir Putin.

Herland devoteda July 2025 column to buying into the “hoax” conspiracy theory about the Epstein files:

Certainly, if there was anything incriminating about President Donald Trump in the so-called Epstein files, the Biden regime would have smeared it across mainstream media long ago. This to discourage anyone from supporting Trump and ravage his conservative MAGA movement. The now sudden Democrat media attempt to divide the MAGA movement and Trump’s support base by creating the impression that the president was involved in Epstein’s pedophilia, is a cunning move to divide and conquer.

The Democrats’ sudden interest in the files is definitively puzzling. The Biden administration sat on the files for years without publishing its content, and could easily have tampered with the content and added or removed vital information on, for example Bill Clinton, who allegedly visited the Epstein Island around 30 times, or Bill Gates, who reportedly was there many times. President Trump now called the Epstein Files “a hoax that has been built up way beyond proportion,” and repeated that if there were any inculpatory information in the files about him, it would have been made public a long time ago, as reported by American Greatness.

If the Epstein files are a “hoax,” then there’s no reason for Herland to believe those claims about Clinton and Gates. And if they are the “hoax” Trump and Herland insist they are, why not release everything regarding it? Herland doesn’t answer that question. Instead, she was more interested in sucking up to Trump:

This week, President Trump was in Scotland reaching immensely important trade agreements with the European Union, averting a trade war with the United States’ primary trading partner. Trump is currently achieving all-time high success. The massively profitable deal with a weakened Europe signifies the most important agreement to date in an ongoing effort to reform the global trading system by imposing higher tariffs on U.S. trading partners. The radical tariff plan spells the end of the socialist tariff system in which U.S. goods have been charged much higher tariffs than when other nations export their goods into America. The deal was made in Turnberry, Trump’s golf resort in western Scotland, and was described as the biggest of all the international deals done so far.

Trump argued that the American people see through the hoax. It is a cunning attempt to divide the MAGA movement and destroy it from within, if the tampered files were presented to the public, rewritten and changed to fit the Democrat narrative. It may easily have been designated to create a new “Russiagate hoax,” now an Epstein Files hoax, that would have run for years in the press with lies and slander, carefully designed by Trump’s enemies as another bullet in the chamber designated to kill the MAGA movement and the president’s legacy.

Herland has to believe that in order to justify her support for the amoral Trump.
