As the world’s powerful are gathered in Davos, launching a so-called “Board of Peace”, families are still trying to survive a genocide in winter. The reality on the ground is one of uninterrupted horror:
The killing continues. In just the past week, dozens of Palestinians have been murdered, including journalists, children, and entire families. Despite over 100 days of a supposed “ceasefire,” Israel continues to block and delay the vast majority of aid—including tents, fuel, and building materials—at the border.
Exposure is a weapon. Children are dying of hypothermia in tents ripped apart by wind and rain. The “humanitarian aid” touted by world leaders is a trickle against an ocean of deliberate suffering. Families huddle in the cold, watching their makeshift shelters flood or collapse.
Nowhere is safe. Israel continues to issue forced evacuation orders, expanding its control and pushing displaced people into ever-smaller, more desperate areas. Reports indicate the clearing of land for what can only be described as potential concentration camps, cynically labeled “humanitarian cities.”
Our families in Gaza are not in a conference room in Switzerland. They are fighting for their lives in the mud and rubble.
The funds you send through Connecting Gaza are literally keeping people from freezing to death. Your donations allow families to:
Patch and tape torn tents.
Acquire plastic sheeting and nylon to create barriers against rain.
Purchase blankets and warm clothing.
Secure materials to reinforce fragile structures against the wind.
Buy fuel or firewood for minimal heat.
This is not reconstruction. This is emergency survival.

We cannot wait for “peace boards.” While world leader debate dystopian visions of a “Dubai-like” Gaza, our goal is simple: ensure Palestinian families live through the night.
We need to scale our efforts immediately. The colder it gets, the more children and elders are at risk. The more tents fail, the more vulnerable families become.
