Hello Concordians 👋
Five years ago this month, the Concordium mainnet went live. June 2021 was a crowded moment, full of projects making big promises, and most did not survive: by CoinGecko’s count, more 13.4M tokens since then have gone dark, with 86% of those deaths being attributed to 2025.
Concordium is not one of them. In 2026, it has grown stronger than ever, still building, and now shipping a new generation of solutions for the agentic economy, because from day one it was built for the thing the market is only now realizing it needs: trust.
It shipped the Agent Registry, protocol-level identity and accountability for AI agents on any chain.

ERC-8004, the Ethereum standard for AI agent identity, keeps spreading across chains, with hundreds of thousands of agents now registered

Concordium launched the Agent Registry: protocol-level identity and accountability for AI agents. It runs natively on Concordium and supports ERC-8004, the emerging Ethereum standard for agent identity. Any developer can register an agent with a verifiable identity anchored to a Concordium ID and backed by Zero-Knowledge Proofs, in a few clicks, and ERC-8004 agents can earn a Verified by Concordium Badge without migrating.
The Verified by Concordium Badge enables agents in the Ethereum ecosystem to prove that a real, verified human or business stands behind an agent, anchored at the protocol level and provable through Zero-Knowledge Proofs, without exposing personal data and without the agent leaving the chain it was built for.
Like a Fair Trade mark or IATA accreditation, it is earned once and travels with the agent wherever it operates.
Concordium became the Official AI Partner of the Danish National Ice Hockey Team, with the partnership kicking off at the 2026 IIHF World Championship in Switzerland and running through April 2027.
The full partnership fee was settled in CCD and locked at the protocol level.
Concordium asked CertiK, one of the most established names in security, to attack the network on purpose. Across a grey-box audit running from December 2025 to May 2026, CertiK stood up a live copy of the chain and threw hostile traffic, malformed messages, severed connections, and a forced mid-flight upgrade at it.
The same chain verified humans already trust has now been independently attacked and proven to hold. AI agents get what humans already have.
Leading voices have been sharing their thoughts on Concordium:
Concordium’s leadership took the stage across Europe recently.
CEO Boris Bohrer-Bilowitzki spoke at the Nordic Blockchain Conference in Stockholm on a panel titled “AI on-chain - Where do we see the real utility of Agentic Finance?”
CGO Varun Kabra represented Concordium at a National Finance Conference and the Dublin Tech Summit, one of Europe’s largest technology and financial services gatherings.
CTO Peter Marirosans joined the LisbonID Conference, a leading European digital identity and eID summit.

Thanks for being part of the journey! Big things ahead.
