Comic Book Treasury Extra! · Comic Book Treasury Extra!

Almost three years after the release of The Unwritten Compendium Volume 1, DC Comics has finally announced the release of the second (and final) volume for September, as part of their fall 2026 catalogue. It made my day!

That’s also five months away, which leaves the time to re-read the first one… and a whole lot more! And a new month is always a good time to check out what is being published right now!

The first two volumes of Xavier Dorison and Ralph Meyer’s French Western Comics The Undertaker have just been released by Abrams (collected in one book), more than 10 years after their first publication. Dorison is one of the major names in the French comic book scene, and Undertaker is a best‑seller, with the eighth volume released last year in France.

While I wasn’t totally convinced by the first volume, I will certainly read Uri Tupka and the Gods: Another Story from Lands Unknown, Mike Mignola’s second volume in his new folklore-inspired series.

As someone who also recently took a closer peek at Alan Moore’s work in the DC Universe, I’m quite enthusiastic for Rebellion’s The Complete 2000 AD by Alan Moore Vol. 1: Future Shocks & Other Stories, with some stories being reprinted here for the first time.

Staying in the DC Universe for a moment, Zatanna is having a new show! Or should I say she is starring in a new comic book series, once again from Jamal Campbell, at the end of the month.

Finally, don’t miss One More for the Road, aka the final issue of Resident Alien!

The ever-lovin' blue-eyed Thing fighting Doctor Doom in Fantastic Four #537 by J. Michael Straczynski and Mike McKone.

The website is often caught in the nets of the changes in the Google Algorithm and the surge of AI overviews (and everything AI). In that context, it’s always hard to finally make the tweaks I should have made a long time ago. And yet… Comic Book Treasury finally has a new homepage. Not yet the perfect one, but one where you can find the latest publications and updates. One that I hope shows more of what’s going on on the website and the richness of the comic book world!

The Boys are Back!

The fifth and final season of The Boys will launch on April 8 on Amazon. 2026 is also the 20th Anniversary of The Boys comic. The first issue was released in October 2006. This is the perfect time to (re)read Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s satirical comic. See the Boys Reading Guide.

DC All In. The Second Act of DC All-In has recently started. And you can also catch up with the first act with our complete DC All In Reading Guide, exploring all the titles released during the past year and a half, including the recently collected Batman: Dark Patterns.
