WOAH. It’s already February.
That went fast.
As we move deeper into 2026, I owe you a quick apology.
Over the past six months, these reflections have come in waves. On and off. More pauses than I planned. Today, I need to share why.
I just launched a book.
Lenten Refresh is now live at LentenRefresh.com.
It’s a guide to help you prepare for Lent and stay committed through the entire season, not just start strong and fade out.
If you’re hoping to walk Lent with your spouse or family, the Launch Box was built with you in mind. Check it out here - Launch Box
Now that I have that off my chest, let’s dive into today’s reflection.
The Lord has a hand in all that you do.
“The kingdom of God is as if someone would scatter seed on the ground and would sleep and rise night and day, and the seed would sprout and grow, he does not know how. The earth produces of itself first the stalk, then the head, then the full grain in the head. But when the grain is ripe, at once he goes in with his sickle because the harvest has come.” Mark 4:26-29
These were the readings at daily Mass this past week, and I haven’t been able to shake them.
The message here is simple: No matter what you do, the Lord’s at work with you.
He gives you the desire to learn and grow.
He places resources in front of you.
He allows growth to happen in time (often without you fully understanding how).
Think about your work.
Sales? Deals don’t just “close.” They come from outreach, patience, and relationships that mature over time. You do your part. God brings the response.
Artist? Your work doesn’t appear out of nowhere. It forms through discipline, creativity, inspiration, and the tools - all gifts that God placed in your hands.
Firefighter? The lives you touch aren’t random. The risks are real, but your calling wasn’t accidental. God knew who would need help through your obedience to “just doing your job.”
You get the idea. Your work matters. It is ALL meaningful.
But the outcome is never yours alone.
God makes the harvest, all those places of victory, possible.
“The earth produces of itself… but when the grain is ripe, the harvest comes.”
We live with so many comforts that it’s easy to forget what real dependence looks like.
Imagine enduring last week’s winter storm without central heat. A reality that is really only a few generations back in time.
Relying on a wood-burning stove, with no forecast, no timeline, no certainty. You’d pray not just for comfort, but for endurance. You’d trust more deeply because you’d have no illusion of control.
Life still asks that kind of trust from us.
This week, when obstacles show up—anger, delay, or frustration creep in—remember this:
The Lord’s hand is in your life.
Growth is happening, even when you don’t see it.
Trust that the harvest will come.
Oh & don’t forget - Lent is on it’s way too :)
Praying for you,
