When I read this, my first thought was "infantile." It took 15 hours for tRump to demonstrate a complete misapprehension of international trade norms, most favoured nation or, more appropriately, national treatment.
He second comment amounts to school yard sniveling, "they started it."
Is it possible that tRump is really this dumb? Can it be that this is the best he can do to try to gin up his base?
How long will it be before he asks NATO partners for assistance in dealing with Canada, says its not needed, its a test, and everyone will fail the test?

Here we are. I agree with Carney, lets deal with what we can deal with and move forward with our own plans. Down south, the rakes are just going to get bigger and more plentiful.
