At Code & Circuit, we believe communication should feel like learning itself: alive, thoughtful, creative, and connected.

For over a decade, email subscriptions have helped us share updates, programs, and opportunities with our community. As our work has evolved, so has the way we want to tell our story. We are no longer simply sending announcements…we are building a living conversation around what it means to grow up in a world shaped by technology and human imagination.

That is why we are launching a Substack. This shift is not just about replacing one platform with another. It is about choosing a space that allows ideas to breathe.

Substack gives us room to go beyond reminders and registrations. It allows us to share the deeper “why” behind our programs: why a child building a robot matters, why animation can unlock confidence, why coding is really about problem-solving and identity, and why creative youth development belongs at the center of community life.

We want families, educators, supporters, and community members to see not only what happens inside Code & Circuit, but what it means. We want to document moments of discovery, spotlight youth voices, explore emerging technologies, and reflect openly on the future our young people are helping create.

In many ways, this mirrors the very heart of Code & Circuit: moving from delivery to dialogue, from information to inspiration.

Substack also allows us to write in a way that matches our mission ~ more human, more reflective, more connected. It gives us a platform where stories, ideas, and innovation can sit side-by-side…where readers can engage because they are curious, not just because they opened an email.

Our work has always been about building more than programs. It is about building belonging, possibility, and a community. This new space is where we will think out loud with our community!

In a time when technology moves fast, young people still need places where meaning moves deeper.

And that is what we hope this becomes.

Free subscribers will receive regular stories from inside our programs, reflections on youth creativity and emerging technology, snapshots of student innovation, announcements about upcoming events, and ideas that connect education, community, and the future of learning. You can expect writing that explores what young people are building, what they are questioning, and how technology is shaping the way they imagine themselves in the world.

We will also share community opportunities, behind-the-scenes moments, highlights from classes, and news.

A paid subscription helps sustain the deeper work.

Paid subscribers make it possible for us to expand access, support materials, and create more opportunities for youth who might not otherwise have them. In return, paid members will receive deeper access: extended essays, founder reflections, early access to new program ideas, behind-the-scenes development of projects, teaching tools, design resources, and occasional downloadable materials connected to creativity, technology, and future-ready learning…the first of which is a handbook to guide families in the age of AI.

Paid subscribers may also receive exclusive posts about what we are learning from the front lines of youth innovation: what works, what surprises us, what challenges emerge, and how we continue adapting in a rapidly changing world.
