A recently saw a comment in one of my groups that stopped me because it said out loud what thousands of network marketers are thinking privately right now.
Juliane Griffin wrote:
“Algorithms continually change the rules. Facebook now shows mainly advertisements and random non-friend posts in feeds. It’s very different from Facebook 10 years ago. I would love to know what type of posts create reach. Each platform is different as well.”
Juliane is right about everything she said.
The platforms have changed dramatically. The algorithms shift constantly, sometimes daily. What worked two years ago produces a fraction of the results today. And yes, each platform requires a different approach.
But here is where I want to gently push back on the framing because I think it matters a lot for how network marketers think about their content strategy.
The algorithm is not your problem.
Your content is.
And the reason I can say that with complete confidence is this: the network marketers in my community who follow a proven system are growing consistently regardless of what the algorithm decides to do on any given day. Why? How? Because they stopped creating content for algorithms and started creating content for human beings.
Those two things are not the same and the difference between them is where most network marketers are leaving enormous reach, engagement, and income on the table every single week. Let’s uncover it all, right now…
(also, be sure to read until the end of this article for your chance for me to review a post of YOURs, for free)
Before we get tactical, I want to establish something that will save you years of frustration.
The algorithm will change again. Whatever is working today will work differently six months from now. Whatever platform is dominant today will look different in two years. This has been true since the first social media platform existed and it will be true for as long as social media exists.
The network marketers who build sustainable businesses on social media are not the ones who stay ahead of every algorithm update. They are the ones who build on a foundation that does not change because it is built on human psychology instead of platform algorithms.
People will always stop for a story that resonates with them. They will always engage with content that makes them feel seen or understood. They will always be more likely to buy from someone they trust than someone they just met. They will always respond to genuine connection and words over polished, perfect looking AI content.
These things do not change when Meta updates its algorithm. They do not change when Instagram shifts how it distributes reels. They are constants and a content system built around them performs regardless of what the platforms decide to prioritize that week.
This is the entire foundation of the GNC Method — Growth, Nurture, Conversion. A system now followed by thousands of network marketers building and growing on social media. Stop trying to HACK the algorithm. Why? Because it is built around how human beings actually make decisions and that will never change.
When you follow that system, you never need to blame the algorithm again. Because the algorithm becomes largely irrelevant to your results (read that again).
Now, with that foundation established, let’s talk about what is actually working on each platform right now.
Facebook has changed dramatically from the platform it was a decade ago. Juliane is absolutely right about that. Organic reach for business pages and promotional content has declined, big time. In fact, I don’t even recommend network marketers use a Facebook business page…more on that maybe another time. The feed is more crowded, more competitive, and less forgiving of content that feels like marketing.
But here is what has not changed on Facebook and what is currently producing the highest conversions for the network marketers in my community:
Storytelling posts and Facebook Stories.
Not product posts. Not income screenshots. Not company announcements. Personal, human, real storytelling, the kind that makes someone stop mid-scroll because they recognize themselves in what you wrote.
The storytelling post that works on Facebook in 2026 follows a simple pattern. It opens with a moment, a specific, real moment from your actual life that your ideal person can relate to. It moves through what that moment felt like, the challenge, the doubt, the turning point. It lands on an insight, a shift, or a result that gives the reader something to take with them even if they never engage with your business.
That structure; moment, emotion, insight, is not a content formula. It is just how human beings have told stories since the beginning of time. And it works on Facebook because Facebook is, at its core, a place where people go to feel connected to other people.
The network marketer who shows up on Facebook as a full human being, sharing real moments, real lessons, real life, builds the kind of trust that no advertising budget can manufacture. Again, this singlehandedly will INCREASE your connections and enrollments on Facebook.
Facebook Stories can add a daily touchpoint that keeps you top of mind without requiring the production value of a full post. Why? Because your Facebook stories are where your WARMEST audience is. Short, casual, authentic glimpses into your day, what you are working on, what you are thinking about, what happened that was worth sharing, compound over time into a relationship with your audience that feels genuinely personal.
I personally DO NOT recommend posting to your stories 4-10 times per day. I have a system just for stories that’s actually a lot simpler, and produces 10X more sales and enrollments. More on that at the end of this article.
The biggest mistake on Facebook I see right now? Overselling and convincing in the content itself. It’s very clear, and is turning your audience OFF faster than ever before.
The moment your post feels like an advertisement, the moment the reader senses that you are trying to get something from them rather than give something to them, engagement drops, reach drops, and the algorithm interprets that signal exactly the way it should. Remember, every other post now on Facebook is an ad. You don’t want YOUR content to blend in with that.
Nobody wants to be sold to in their personal social feed. The network marketers who understand this and create content that gives value first, every time, are the ones whose Facebook presence actually grows their business.
On Instagram the story right now is clear and the data from inside my own student community makes it undeniable.
Over 80% of new enrollments for the network marketers following this system are coming from one of two content types: carousels and stories.
Not reels exclusively. Not grid posts. Carousels and stories.
Here is why carousels are performing so strongly right now.
Instagram is pushing carousels more aggressively in its distribution, meaning carousels are getting shown to more people organically than standard single-image posts. But beyond the algorithmic advantage, carousels work because of how people consume them.
If you think about it, these again are based on telling REAL stories, just broken up n different slides.
A carousel requires a swipe. That swipe is the first micro-commitment: the first tiny action that signals genuine interest. And every additional swipe deepens that engagement. By the time someone reaches slide six of a ten-slide carousel, they are invested. They have spent real time with your content. They have moved from passive consumer to active participant.
The framework that works: six to ten slides, each one delivering a single clear idea or step. A strong hook on slide one that makes swiping feel necessary. Value delivered consistently through the middle slides. A soft, conversational call to action on the final slide that feels like a natural next step rather than a pitch.
No overselling. No convincing. Just value, structured clearly, delivered in a format that Instagram currently rewards with reach.
Instagram Stories work differently but serve a critical function in the same system, they convert the audience that carousels and reels attract into warm, trusting relationships. While carousels reach new eyes and build initial interest, Stories are where the daily relationship maintenance happens. They are where your existing followers see the real you, the behind the scenes, the personality, the authenticity that makes someone go from casual follower to genuine community member to actual customer or teammate.
They are also where the highest percentage of Instagram users make a BUYING decision, or a decision to move to the next step. This is critical to uunderstand.
The biggest mistake on Instagram mirrors Facebook exactly. Overselling in the content kills everything. The network marketer who uses every post to push a product or pitch an opportunity trains their audience to tune them out and the algorithm reads the resulting disengagement as a signal to stop distributing their content.
Stop selling in the content. Start creating conversations through the content. The selling happens in the DMs after the content has done the work of attracting and warming up the right person.
I want to tell you about Erica because her story is the clearest illustration of what happens when someone stops creating content for the algorithm and starts creating content for the right human beings.
When Erica came to this system her social media presence was active but not working. She was posting consistently. She was putting in the time. But the results… the actual business results, the leads and enrollments and team growth were not reflecting her effort.
She made the shift. Applied the framework. Stopped overselling in her content and started leading with stories, value, and genuine connection.
For the last five months she has been in the top five in sales on her entire team.
But here is the part of Erica’s story that I think matters just as much as the ranking: she is spending half the time on social media that she used to spend.
Half the time. Better results.
Can I get a halleluiah for this? Lol! This is what we should ALL be striving for!
That is what a system does. It removes the guesswork, the second-guessing, the endless scrolling to see what everyone else is posting. It replaces all of that with a clear, repeatable process that works and works efficiently enough that social media becomes a business asset instead of a daily drain.
That is the win most people are not talking about. Not just more enrollments. More enrollments with less time, less stress, and more clarity about exactly what to do every single day.
I want to offer something I rarely make available publicly.
For the first five people who message me directly after reading this article, I will personally audit one piece of your content.
You send me one post — a carousel, a story, a Facebook post, anything you have created recently that you want to get more REACH from and I will analyze it specifically to make sure you are reaching as many of the right people as possible, maximizing your time and effort, and moving in the right direction with your content strategy.
This is not automated. Not a bot. Me, personally reviewing your content and giving you real, specific feedback based on everything I just shared in this article.
Five spots. First come, first served.
If you want one of them, send me a direct message right now on Instagram by clicking here with the word AUDIT.
That is it. First five people who send that word get a personal content audit from me directly.
Do not wait on this one.
The algorithm will change again tomorrow. And the day after that. And it will keep changing for as long as social media exists.
The network marketers who build their content strategy around chasing those changes will spend their entire career reacting, constantly behind, constantly frustrated, constantly wondering why what worked last month is not working today.
The network marketers who build on a foundation of human connection, genuine storytelling, and a system designed around how people actually make decisions, those people never have to chase the algorithm. Because the algorithm’s job, at its core, is to show people content they will engage with. Content that connects with real human beings always qualifies.
On Facebook right now — storytelling posts and Stories.
On Instagram right now — carousels and Stories.
In both cases, zero overselling, zero convincing, maximum value.
And underneath all of it, a system that removes the guesswork entirely.
That is how you win on social media in 2026 and beyond. Not by outsmarting the algorithm, but by becoming someone whose content people actually want to find.
