Things I Was Influenced to Buy

We all have those people who could post something once and immediately convince us we need it haha. For me, it’s a mix of my favorite influencers, the girls on TikTok... and apparently my mom, who is responsible for quite a few purchases on this list haha!!

Over the past year or so, I’ve definitely been influenced to buy my fair share of things, but these are the purchases that reallyyyy stand out. Not because they were viral or everyone was talking about them, but because I ended up genuinely loving them and still use or wear them all the time. From the jeans I couldn’t wait to buy while I was pregnant to a random $20 Amazon find that goes everywhere with me, here are seven times I’m very glad I was influenced to buy!

I was 100% influenced to buy these Miu Miu blue light glasses after seeing them on so many of the TikTok girls I follow! There was one influencer in particular who kept wearing them and every single time I saw them on her, I loved them even more. I finally gave in and bought the real pair, and I can confidently say this was one influenced purchase I do NOT regret!! I’ve had them for a while now and still reach for them time and time again. They have such a classic shape that I really don’t think will ever go out of style, which made me feel a lot better about investing in the real thing. And if you love the look but not the designer price tag, I also found this lookalike pair that gives you a very similar look for way less!

My mom actually influenced me to buy this one! We both struggle with anxiety, and she introduced me to this luxurious essential oil blend that she swore helped her relax. I know it sounds a little crazy, but even just smelling it straight from the bottle makes me feel instantly calmer! I put a little in my hands, rub them together, cup them over my nose and take a few deep breaths, then massage it along the sides of my neck and behind my ears. It smells AMAZING!! It’s a blend of chamomile, juniper berry, lavender, lemon tea tree, and Moroccan rosemary, and it has become one of those little rituals I reach for whenever I need a moment to unwind.

My assistant Grace influenced me to buy this one simply by showing up with perfect hair every single day haha. This hair tool has been a GAME CHANGER since adding a lot more layers to my hair, especially around my face. I was having a hard time getting all of those shorter pieces to lay right with a traditional curling iron, but this curls them so well and gives me that fresh blowout look every time. It's also really easy to pull out for quick touch-ups throughout the week without having to completely redo my hair!

I first saw these jeans on Katy while I was pregnant and immediately saved them because I couldn’t wait to buy them once I could wear jeans again!!! They were absolutely worth the wait because they have quickly become my favorite pair of jeans. They’re SO comfortable and flattering (especially for this postpartum mama!), and I’ve already worn them more times than I can count. I love that I can style them so many different ways, too you can see a few of the outfits I’ve worn them with here, here, and here!

My mom influenced me to try this face tanning water, and this was another one where she was 100% right!! I’ve talked about this before, but I started using it this spring and loved it so much that it quickly became a constant in my weekly skincare routine. It gives my face that little bit of extra color I’m always looking for without having to actually sit out in the sun, and I love waking up with a fresh, sun-kissed glow. I’ve been using it consistently all spring and summer and definitely don’t see myself stopping anytime soon! It’ll be nice in the winter to avoid looking so pale on my face!!

I LOVE following European influencers, and so many of them have the most gorgeous collections of Hermès handbags. Consider me influenced... just not enough to spend Hermès prices haha! Instead, I’ve fallen in love with JW PEI handbags that give me that same chic, structured look for a fraction of the price. They look SO similar and feel way more expensive than they are! I already own this one and this one and absolutely love them, and now I have this one and this one on my wish list. I have a feeling they’ll be joining my collection very soon!

This one is kind of random haha, but my mom influenced me to buy this little Amazon tripod and it has become one of my MOST-USED products of all time! It folds up super small and fits in even my tiniest handbags, so I bring it with me everywhere and especially love it for traveling. I obviously use it all the time for work to grab photos and videos, but I genuinely think I would own it even if I wasn't an influencer! It's so nice for getting family photos or videos when there's no one else around to take them, and we've captured so many little moments because of it.

And there you have it…7 purchases I can officially say I’m glad someone talked me into! I know this won’t be the last time I’m influenced to buy something, so maybe I’ll have to do a part two eventually!
