The US Navy removes carrier from Asia to Middle East to focus on Iran. The USS George Washington was removed from Japan and is expected to replace the USS Lincoln which has been deployed more than 250 days. Think this highlights the need for more carriers… On the good news front prescription drugs saw the largest percentage price drop since 1963. On the bad news front Americans seem to be taking more prescription drugs than ever before - lead by GLP-1 weight loss drugs. Perhaps we could all just eat more healthy and exercise - you know like it was 1963… Experiencing a weird Schrodinger’s X lately where I repost or like something but then it disappears from my timeline when I go to check. Sometimes its there and sometimes it not. Anyone experiencing something similar?... Removing the USS Washington from the Pacific also sends a message to South Korea and China. Not sure if this is they type of message we want to send but the truth is the US is not made of money (or carriers) and other nations need to spend more on their own defense… It would be amusing if some Israeli elected official said that all Vermont politicians are extremist socialists like Bernie Sanders just to see how they like it... Thought that may keep you up nights: my dog drinks tap water while I drink bottled water. Because of forever chemicals in the plastic is my dog actually drinking healthier than I am? Then again I also drink coffee and beer - so there’s that… In California “Space Days” are called “rolling blackouts”... The carriers are famously nuclear powered and can stay at sea for long stretches but the crew is made of flesh and blood and can’t be deployed indefinably - they need a rest. And we need more carriers… Went to lunch with some of my kids yesterday and bull riding was on the TV’s in the background. My 5-year old grandchild saw it and called the bull riders “bull jockeys.” I like that (not not sure how the cowboys would take it though)… Often on my blog you may see something I’ve posted in the past - this isn’t just to post more frequently (well not always) but because I found it a worthwhile lesson or joke needs to be repeated. Truly believe that repetition is often the best way to learn something and take it to heart (except touching a hot stove - that you only need to do once)...
