For the answer to the question as to whether Jim is still bullish toward wheat depends on two major fundamental factors.
Number one: If, or when, Russia/Ukraine tensions will eventually ease, and how this will affect the ability to export wheat through proper channels.
Number two: The second factor is determining just exactly how one of the strongest El Niño events in history plays out deeper in 2026 and 2027 with respect to impacting global wheat production.
The next season may be complicated by extraordinary global disasters from western US fires, droughts in France, and the climate gone “wild” with earthquakes, floods, and tornadoes.
