Indiana isn’t for sale. Whether we’re talking about massive tax giveaways for data centers that suck our grid dry or the way our public healthcare and schools are being dismantled piece by piece, the people of District 46 deserve better than a “cheap date” politician with a handful of talking points.

We need a system that actually shows up for neighbors, not one that just services the highest bidder.

Every time I sit down to write one of these newsletters, I try to find a local artist or a song that is connected to Indiana or Indianapolis. Skypp is an Indianapolis hip-hop artist whose work focuses on the actual, unvarnished reality of our neighborhoods. His track, "A Beautiful Day in the Trenches," takes the familiar idea of being a "neighbor" and applies it to the grit and the grind of the city.
