What are we gifting?

It is finally the holiday season. People have been talking about Christmas since October. The world’s favorite capitalist holiday is coming up, and whether you celebrate Christmas or Hanukka or neither, it is the season of giving. It’s mid-November and there’s still enough time to order your gifts. You don’t want to be the friend, partner, or relative giving gifts others want to re-gift. If you are giving or receiving, this is a good list of chic gifts. I would say this is my personal Christmas wishlist.

1. A good coffee table book. Make it artsy by choosing a book like Yoshitomo Nara’s book with 380 illustrations of his work.

2. A Tamagotchi, preferably pink and a glittery one. It can be the perfect keychain.

3. Clairo’s Charm vinyl. Great album and the music on vinyl is more fun.

4. Glossier’s Créme de You Body Butter is the perfect gift for someone who likes smelling and feeling good. A gift for the self-care enthusiast friend.

5. Saie Beauty’s bestsellers bundle has two brushes and their staple products. You can customize the shades of the products to your liking. Eight products for $176, being clean beauty I think it is a good deal. For the friend who is into makeup or even better clean makeup.

6. For the person who likes cooking and ceramics. The Plop Pottery pink striped butter dish.

7. Everyone loves Tekla for a reason. This cotton duvet cover in pink stripes will add a pop of color to any room. This is the perfect gift for that person who likes staying at home.

8. You might say that $48 for a hairbrush doesn’t make sense but I feel like spending on good quality items that are pretty is worth it. Especially if it is a gift. This Emi Jay hair brush in tortoise is a good example.

9. This is for the art collector. Yoshitomo Nara’s Skateboard triptych to hang on your wall.

10. For the friend who likes lattes, a manual milk frother. I have a Nespresso electric milk frother but I like feeling like a real-life barista and using a manual one. Only $16 on Amazon.

11. I have decided that the MoMA Store is the best place to buy unique gifts and the best gifts. They sell this cute snowman table lamp, for your friend who is into interior design and that perfect lighting.

12. I had to add another coffee table book because I can’t skip Sofia Coppola’s Archive book. I love her movies and just need that book in my house asap.

13. I added a good second-hand find and my favorite one so far, this Gucci Jackie 1961 in the year of the tiger special print. Vestiare Collective is a good place to find unique gifts for your fashion friend.

14. For a good-smelling room, I included this P.F. Candle in Teakwood and Tobacco which has been my favorite scent for years. I would recommend Le Labo’s Santal 26 candle or Salt & Stone’s Santal and Vetiver.

15. If a brand knows how to make good and unique scents it’s Byredo. I have been dreaming of their Vanille Antique perfume ever since I tested it at their store. It is sweet and musky and just a dream.

16. Jewelry is always a good idea to gift, these statement earrings from Common Hart have that vintage style without breaking the bank. I also know everyone likes the Heaven Mayhem earrings but this is a good alternative in a more budget-friendly and also unique style.

17. I love striped knit sweaters and have been dreaming of this Damson Madder Cece stripe cardigan.

18. A chic wood frame is a pretty universal gift option.

19. For a friend who likes to cook, a dutch oven from Le Creuset is a cook’s dream. Even dreamier if it is in that sea salt new color.
