Claudia Serrano · Claudia’s Substack

Dear Everyone,

I’m starting to feel like I created this Substack just to indulge my endless wishlists a couple of times a year. I had so many grand ideas for things I could write about, but I keep circling back to the same irresistible theme: curating lists of items I crave, gift guides, and the best sales worth snagging. So, I guess that’s the heartbeat of this newsletter—unapologetic shopping confessions.

For today’s guide, we’re easing into “Transitioning from Fall” with a lineup of cozy essentials: plush knits, flickering candles, nourishing beauty picks, and a dash of everything that elevates the season. Think pieces that layer effortlessly, warm your skin (and soul), and make the shift to cooler days feel downright luxurious.I’ve been hunting for knits that strike the perfect balance—affordable-ish, incredibly comfortable, practical yet cute, and actually warm enough for those crisp mornings. Topping my wishlist: the Crewneck Cardigan from Aritzia, available in a rainbow of colors, but I’m fixated on Heather Birch and Private Green. It’s the ultimate blank-canvas basic.

Sticking with knits, I’ve added the Merino Wool Turtleneck to my cart in Heather Nomad Taupe—versatile enough for desk days or dog walks.

For something with a bit more edge, there’s the Merino Wool ¼-Zip Sweater in Rich Mocha Brown, which layers seamlessly under a blazer or stands alone with tailored pants.

Coats are non-negotiable this time of year, and mine skew too lightweight for anything below 50 degrees. Enter the Aritzia Super Puff Shorty in Rich Olea Green—a thick, no-fail puffer that hugs without restricting, ideal for any plan.

I’ve also been pining for the Damson Madder Jennifer puffer coat, but it’s frustratingly sold out everywhere in my size.

For everyday ease, my dream is an outfit that feels like pajamas but reads as polished—and this oversized coat in oat from Damson Madder nails it, with its slouchy silhouette.

By now, you’ve probably clocked my full-on obsession with Damson Madder’s effortless cool, so of course I’m eyeing their Striped Tie-Front Hoodie too. Also, I want all the pants that Damson Madder designs, I got these pair of trousers from Damson in a checkered fabric.

Shifting to footwear, something practical for fall (but weather-dependent for winter—rain or shine where you are?): I’m all in on the boat shoe revival, which feels like loafers’ rugged cousin—walkable, timeless, and surprisingly versatile. My pick is from the Aritzia x Sperry collab, in suede leather and Chocolatier Brown. Pair it with wide-leg jeans.

For full looks that transition seamlessly, I’m coveting Sézane’s checkered set in green and blue—chic, yes, but with a whisper-soft comfort that screams colder-month hero. Snag the pieces separately: the Ozalée blouse and Azzio trousers.

And don’t get me started on Sézane’s sweaters—they’re the stuff of quiet luxury dreams. The Claudio Jumper in olive green, with its sailor collar, is calling my name.

Rounding out the cart: Uniqlo’s HeatTech basics for layering without bulk, and the viral Intimissimi top that’s equal parts lounge and lingerie.

For cozy items that aren’t clothing, I have this Cinnamon Spiced Vanilla candle that I received as a gift last Christmas and I would definetly get a new one when I finish the one I have.

I feel like a cozy bath would be ideal, and for this, I have on my cart the Salt and Stone body wash in Saffron and Cedar, and the body lotion for after the shower that will leave you smelling amazing. A good bathrobe is a must-have after a nice bath, so I have a few on my list like the Hommey robe either in boysenberry or in fleur. My favorite perfumes are the ones from Byredo and I still have the Vanille Antique scent on my wishlist. Now they have a new version of it and old one if sold out but I still want it. The smell is not overly sweet like other vanilla perfumes, this one is msuky and has a leather smell that blends perfectly with the light sweetness of the vanilla. Finally to add to my beauty products in the colder months, I have this set from Rhode that comes with a blush and lip combo in brown shades perfect for the season.

What about you? What’s on your fall wishlist this week?

Happy shopping, friends,

Claudia
