Enterprise Managed Authorization (EMA) is an official extension for the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and it has had a big few months. Okta supports it. Anthropic shipped beta support for it in Claude in June.
If you run an IdP and you've been anywhere near an MCP conversation lately, someone on your team has probably asked "should we support this?" This matters most if you're a CIAM vendor supporting B2B2E customers.
