Heya,
I want to talk about three different kinds of customization that matter for CIAM systems. But first, let’s talk about why customization matters at all.
I frequently compare CIAM systems to database, but unlike a database, users directly interact with what a CIAM system provides. They will see and enter information into your sign-in page, your sign-up page, and other flows your CIAM system supports.
Therefore, you need to be able to customize a CIAM system in ways you likely wouldn't care about for a database or message queue.
Let’s talk about the three ways I’ve seen customization occur.
The first is look and feel customization. As I mentioned above, your end user, or your customer, sees the pages and interfaces of your CIAM system. Make sure it looks like your application.

Some CIAM systems offer limited customizability, such as adding a logo and picking some colors. Others offer the ability to make every page look exactly like your design team wants.
