Military Service is Stressful!

The Sailors and Marines aboard the Aircraft Carrier, USS Abraham Lincoln, CVN 72, have been deployed for 200 consecutive days!  The stress of doing those dangerous jobs 7 days a week takes a toll on the human body and mind!

(The USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) is a Nimitz-class, nuclear-powered aircraft carrier commissioned on November 11, 1989. Named after the 16th U.S. President, it weighs about 100,000 tons, carries roughly 5,400 crew members, and supports up to 90 aircraft, acting as a floating military city.)

I've written before about the lack of respect some people have for the United States Navy. Being a corpsman in Vietnam, I’ve had so many Marines who were friends because they love their Corpsmen. A marine once told me they ALL remember the name of their Corpsman. It was “Doc.”

Some of the most dramatic and consequential battles of WWII were naval battles.

(The most consequential naval battles of World War II shifted global power, protected vital supply lines, and turned the tide of the conflict. Key engagements include the Battle of Midway (1942), the Battle of the Atlantic (1939–1945), and the Battle of Leyte Gulf (1944).)

My Dad's ship, (LST 898, The USS Lincoln County) participated in the Okinawa landing. 

The Marines who raised the flag on Mt Suribachi during the battle for Iwo Jima were transported there aboard US Navy vessels.  They landed on that black sand beach aboard US Navy landing craft.  

Doc Bradley, a Navy Corpsman, was one of those pictured raising that flag.  The book and movie, “Flags of Our Fathers," written by his son, portrayed the fierce battle which preceded that historic event.

Several of those flag raisers died in combat the next day.

There are stories of personnel aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln attempting suicide during this deployment!  There are confirmed news stories of shortages of items like toothpaste and shower soap!  There have been reports of shortages of weapons and defense systems which are the consequences of t-Rump and Kegsbreath’s incompetence of leadership during this critical time.

Netanyahu convinced his orange puppet to embark on this horrific error in presidential judgement!  

I know about the stress of serving in a war.  It takes a toll on the soul of the men and women who volunteer to serve.  I know what they will feel in 60 years, because it NEVER leaves the thoughts and nightmares of the human mind!

My heart goes out to the brave people aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln!  I hope everyone will take a moment to honor their service to the United States of America.  The volunteer members of the military services took an oath.  They, unlike t-Rump, Kegsbreath and his sycophantic Cabinet, will honor that oath.  They, unlike the “Bone Spurs Coward," risk everything to serve.  

Call your representative in the House and your senators to insist that this horror ends!  Tell them to do their fvckin jobs to reign in this out of control administration of corruption, grift and absolute EVIL!

End this war NOW!  Get these heroes home!  Impeach and convict those who sent them into this devastating travesty of incompetent leadership!  

18 Americans have died, hundreds have been wounded because Netanyahu pulled the strings on his orange puppet and Congress failed to stand up for their constituents in the military and their families!

The United States of America is in existential danger because they refused to do their jobs!  We're now at our weakest point during my lifetime to defend against the inevitable future attacks by our adversaries.  This nation I have served and loved for almost 80 years has lost the respect and admiration of former allies around the world!  

We MUST stop this insane runaway train of incompetence before it derails and is unable to be repaired.  t-Rump, Kegsbreath, et. al. should face the fate of the original Hitler and his cult:  Nuremberg!

Join me and the millions of fellow patriots next month in the next No Kings protest against these monsters!

We MUST continue to fight!  We MUST write, speak and act to end t-Rump’$ reign of terror!  VOTE in November.  Remove EVERY soulless, cowardly Republican in the House and Senate who have kneeled before this Faux King!

Respect our military members!  Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and those in government who have remained to keep our ship of state afloat after hitting the iceberg of the 2024 election.

If not now, WHEN?!  There may not be a future for the United States of America if this horror movie continues.  

Even Stephen King's imagination couldn't have imagined something this bad!

That's why I do this work EVERY day!  Because we MUST win this WAR against the absolute EVIL of t-Rump’$ cabal of sycophantic cowards and enablers!!
