Hello my dears! I am back from New York and full of inspiration. I realized last week how many small brands I was wearing and loving during my trip, and then came home to a swarm of branded gifts (feeling very lucky, may I add) mostly from more small brands and felt the overwhelming urge to share.
I’m always keeping my eyes peeled for freshness and really love supporting emerging artisans of the cloth. We all love designers and high fashion, very guilty there, but I think there is something so special about the uniqueness and consideration a new brand can offer. Let’s dive in.
First and foremost, I need to talk more about Cortana. I wore this silk dress and have never gotten so many compliments, Instagram love, and approval on one single garment. Most importantly, I have never felt so good in a dress. It was comfortable, hugged my larger hips in the perfect way, and felt ultra luxurious. I walked down the grand steps at Marcel feeling like the main character in a movie. It was a pre-birthday celebration so unfortunately I acted like it too.
Cortana has many other beautiful, fluid, uniquely printed dresses and garments. I have my eye on many more…including all of these pieces…that print, and the perfect green?!

Next up is Almina Concept. Don’t mind my underwear, nipples, and Charvet’s in these photos (jeez what a combo) but if you’re a fan of LESET and FLORE FLORE, Almina is another perfect brand for you. Casual chic with ultimate comfort — I love Almina for the outfits I actually wear at home. Fabulous and flattering v-necks, cozy loungers that look like The Row, and incredibly chic polos. To be honest, what more could a girl ask for.

Along the vein of comfort, I have been a huge fan of Saint the Store for a very long time. Originally falling in love with their leather belts, I am now so excited to wear their newest iteration of very chic loungewear. They sent me the Resort Set which is perfect for an LA night — cooking dinner at home, perhaps lounging in front of the fireplace on an extra chilly summer night. I love the ivory subtle stripe and white piping.
I swear I’ve been wearing Nami for two weeks straight. I know I’ve been speaking a lot about comfort — but it is such a necessity for my style. I want things to look luxurious and beautiful, but I absolutely cannot be fussing with a garment. I don’t know what it is, but Nami just gets it. The garments are simple but fit the body so well, you’d think it was tailored to you.
I wore their white dress in NY and LA (similar here in black) and the Paisley Pants paired with their Martin Shirt for a classic summer look. I was in awe at the fit of everything. A serious favorite.
Next up on my radar — Viktoria Chan. I unboxed a couple of pieces today that I can’t wait to wear. Coming from Sweden, the brand is full of intricate, fluid, absolutely gorgeous pieces that can be styled in multiple different ways. I love the simplicity of their Mona oversized dress, and the Cerise lace scarf which looks better than a vintage piece.
Will keep you updated as soon as I wear my pieces.
If you’re a fan of Dôen, you need to know Christy Dawn. They were one of the first brands I ever got gifting from, and I love this beautiful full-circle moment working with them again. I remember back in the day they had a romper that I was OBSESSED with. I wish I still had it. I feel like they were doing the gorgeous, effortless summer vibe with quality materials before everyone else caught on.
Each piece from them feels so special. I can’t wait to flounce around in this dress and my other pieces on a gorgeous day. Get your femme summer on.
Safe to say that is all for today! Until next time because…like I said…my eyes are always peeled…
Xx
